I just want to vent a little cause I am really nervous. We leave for our disney trip on 10/1, so I am worried about all the hurricane activity. But what really concerns me is we are supposed to close on our house on 10/15 and the mortgage company told me today that my credit had dropped 20 points because of inquiries. So he told me we might have to give 10% instead of 5% they run my credit a few days before closing. So I will not know until almost the day of closing. Has anyone heard of such a thing. I am so nervous I will not get my mortgage and loose my downpayment already given. I am sorry to sound like a cry baby but I am truly so freaked by everything. Oh Yeah did I mention I have MS to help matters. Thank you for letting me vent and thanks for your thoughts

If it was me I would probably cancel the vacation if I thought I'd be too stressed about the closing to enjoy it. Especially if you don't know how much money you're going to have to put down on the house! I've never heard of that this close to the closing but I've only been through 3 closings and credit was approved way before a closing date was settled.

I think it is odd they changed your rate so close to closing. I refinanced my house twice, and they always told me that the interest rate was locked. I'm not a credit guru, but I don't see how inquiries can lower your score. I know you can get a copy of your report and see if there is an error or an unpaid balance etc....
I think it's $10.

I get nervous around that stuff too, and it would be hard for me to really have a good time at WDW with a closing. The hurricane will hit this weekend so you'll probably get a better feel of the weather on Sunday.
