Yesterday, my DH and DD9 were gone all day. They went to Ocean City to get vacation place for us for a week this summer. It was planned in advance. But, I stayed here with my DS3 who has the worst croup and asthma. I was up almost all of the previous night with him on his nebulizer and tending to his fever...and lets not forget the cough and puke! He is on a HIGH dose of steroids to help him stay out of the hospital. I feel so bad for complaining, but do you know what a 3 yr old on steroids is like???
He didnt sleep well last night either!!

Sorry to vent! I do feel terrible for wanting to run away! At least he naps in the afternoon!

 I think it's natural to feel like 'complaining' after the night and day you've had.

Hope your DS feels better soon. When DH gets home, maybe you could take a nice, hot bath or go for a walk if the weather is good? How about a leisurely trip to the grocery store (it's amazing how long you can spend walking up and down the aisles when you need some 'me' time!)?

I am having a little bit of me time right now. I don't get it in large doses, but I will take whatever little bits and pieces I can get. Hope your son is feeling better, soon.

Sorry you are having a bad day. Having young ones who are sick is tough.

My kids are older and I have "me time" all the time. It does get better and all of this will be a distant memory that you have blocked.:rotfl:
