I am working on a baby afghan for my new baby grandchild that is due in June......I also have another six skeins of another colored yarn to do some more.....if I can get going......so someone give me a shove.....or a little push.....and I also have a five hundred page book that I am reading......and also dising.....and also cooking.......HELP.....

Hmmmm well maybe you could get the book on tape and toss the food in a crockpot and work on the afgan while listening to the book. Then reward yourself with a 1/2 hour of disin'.

If all else fails just let Calgon take ya away.

Think of knitting the blanket as a way to keep warm this winter. You'll want to have it finished before the spring weather. I recently finished a baby blanket for DSIL. It was admired by all at the baby shower.

Just think about how much it will mean to that grandbaby someday! I agree, put some food in the crockpot and listen to some music and GET TO WORK!

When my grandbaby was born, I crocheted an afghan. Right after his birth, I spent 10 days with my son and DIL to help out. I literally put the squares together and did the border while I was there for those 10 days. I know exactly how you feel!

My grandmother was going to make an afghan for my dd (she told me that the day she found out I was expecting) Unfortunately she died within two weeks and didn't get to make it. I used to wrap Ashli up in a shawl that Grandma made for me when I was a young teenager because I couldn't bear to have Ashli never use something that my grandmother had made. That afghan will mean a lot to your family so get to work!
