For our WDW trip in January, I reserved My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party for my wife and daughter. I'd like to get or make some kind of formal looking invitation from Aurora to my daughter.

I'm not very creative but perhaps I could buy something "princess-looking" and get it printed with an invitiation on the inside.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
Jon

aaaaawwwwwww..........what a sweet idea! :earboy2:  BTW, i just have boys so i am kinda useless...LOL could you do something on the computer?

I know that most Hallmark stores have computer stations with preprinted invitations (except the main message) that you can print off in the store. You can buy one or many of the same. They may even have some with a Disney theme. It might be worth checking out at your local mall.

What about buying a small, satiny pillow to present the invitation on? Just print the invite with some scrolly text (or have one printed for you) and place it on the pillow. Say you found it on the door and some Royal Footman must've left it for her.

Oh! And maybe on the pillow with it you could present her with a tiara and septer that she could wear to the tea party! :)

The invitation could say that Princess Aurora formally requests Princess (your daughters name) to join her for a very special Princess-and-mommy-only Tea Party at Walt Disney World.

I just had the same problem so I had my sister the creative one write up an invitation I'll try to find it when I get home for the exact wording but it was something like I heard you were in Disney World and would love to meet you and have tea with me. She found a picture of one of the princessess by doing a search and added the picture to the invitation and printed it on pink paper I found some small plastic glass slippers at a craft store they were in the wedding favor aisle we left it by her pillow when she was asleep and read it too her that morning.
They do give all the girls attending the party a tiara when they announce them and seat them, so most of the kids already wearing tiaras changed it to the new one.
The tea party was excellent you'll have a great time
Just called my sister as I was typing this is what she remembers
From the desk of the princess Aurora
I heard you were in Disney World I would love to meet you If you are not too busy could you come to my Tea Party to meet me and my friend Rose Petel.
She remembers writing something about the color pink being their favorite color
Good luck

THis is so funny, as just today I decided this was how I wanted to tell the girls we're going! I am thinking of a way to make an invitation to spend Thanksgiving in Disney from their favorite characters. I want to have a hidden camera to capture it. I am getting so excited, when I talk to DH, I must look like Tom Cruise jumping up and down on the couch! LOL :jumping3: (that would be Tom on Oprah not the Risky Bus. Tom, LOL)

Again, thanks for the wonderful suggestions! Part of my problem is that my wife doesn't know we're going since I'm surprising her too....and she's the creative one. She could do this in a heartbeat but I don't want to spoil the surprise I have planned for Christmas morning.

Please continue to give ideas. This is getting good.

A couple of ideas.

KEY: Find a nearby SCRAPBOOKING CENTER - they're hot stores around here and easy to find.
For e.g. my nearest one is actually a Cord Camera (it has a scrapbooking center, p.s. not all Cord's do so you'll have to check around).
Anyway, they'll carry all type of Disney paper, stickers, etc.
Go and you'll find the most helpful and creative people around.

For real simple at the Scrapbooking center you'll find: 8-1/2x11 Disney paper w/ Princesses, etc., you can buy a few sheets, type up an invitation on your home computer, print it out and TADAH!!! you have the easiest invite ever.
To dress it up further: Holepunch a corner stick the string of a Helium-filled Disney balloon through it and knot it to the paper, attach weight at bottom and leave in her room. WOW!!!!! I'm getting tinkled pink just at the thought... :wizard:

Another idea: go to SCRAPBOOK CENTER and buy one of those 4x6 photo booklets for $1.99 to $3.99 (Meijers often has Disney motif ones, but check other places too if you want) - then get pink cardstock or again, if you're at the scrapbooking place, there will be a huge selection, type up a nice invitation and cut it out and place in the first inside page of your little photo book. Find a couple of appropriate stickers if you like and slide them into the second page of your little booklet - and then wallha!!!! You've created the makings of a beautiful keepsake for both your DD and DW since they'll be able to place their momentuous pictures in their respective booklets to view over and over again with your wonderful invite always in front!

P.S. Craft stores have Scrapbooking stuff and so do many places like Target, Meijers, etc. but I'd go to an actual SCRAPBOOKING Center, because there you'll get a lot of selection, a ton of creative ideas and a STAFF that can REALLY help you.
Just one note of caution: those places can be very addicting and you can find yourself overdoing it to the point where it attacks your wallet.

Please let us know what you end up doing - I'm so excited for them! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Some of the talented ladies over at the T-shirt forum have made up a printable invitation from Cinderella for CRT. I'm sure if you asked nicely they would customize the letter (or make one just for you) and you could print it off. And be sure to make a special invitation for your DW also... every girl loves to feel like a princess. That's the magic of Disney!

Since I'm new the boards won't allow me to post pics or links :badpc: so you'll just have to go to the T-shirt forum. It is a sub-forum of the Park tips and Strategies Forum.... Hope that helps (and hope you can find it! :rotfl: )

If you'd like I can help you make something up. I do desktop publishing at work, so I'm pretty handy with things like this.

Send me a PM if you're interested and let me know their names and the specifics of what you'd like (time, place, etc.) and I'll see what I can come up with for you. Also let me know what type of programs you have on your PC (Word, Wordperfect, Powerpoint, etc.) so I'll know what format to make the invitation in so you can print it from home.
