i need some help with alamo...

I have 2 reservations for my trip next week and I just tried to do online checkin and i"m getting a message that says "could not validate coupon, continued without coupon" so I just figured that I would use the kiosk when I land. then I tried to cancel my more expensive ressie and I'm getting the same message. it won't let me view/modify the ressie at all! has anyone seen this? it's making me a little nervous!
 
This was mentioned in an earlier thread, it appears that the rental locations are no longer taking certain coupon codes.
I believe that the solution was that you have to call the 800 number and have the coupon removed from the reservation, then everything works ok again. You should probably have them cancel the other reservation while you are on the phone too.

thanks for the info. I called and they canceled the ressie that I didn't want to use and confirmed the one I am using but told me I still couldn't use online checkin because I'm using a coupon. she said I could still use a kiosk like I have in the past--I sure hope so!!

This is common. Certain coupons, even an Alamo e-coupon, can trigger this. I have had to use the kiosk before because of it. It only takes a few minutes extra to do it.
