I have songs that show up as costing $1.29 instead of .99. I remember that before this happened and there was someway to change it. Is this still possible or did the price go up on some songs?

As far as I know, Apple and iTunes have decided that "premium" songs are $1.29.

If you look at an artist's older stuff, or the less popular songs from an aolder CD....they are listed at .79.

So the three prices are $1.29, .99 and .79.

Hope that helps.

Wow. That is quite the price jump. Is it going to be like movies when they are first released they cost more and as they become less "must have" the price drops?

I've been using Amazon also and having good luck -most songs are .99 or less. Selection may not be as good as iTunes, but I've found some things not on iTunes as well. I'm trying to avoid the Apple-trap as much as possible.

Have you downloaded TV shows? Sometimes those show up at $2.99 for the hi def episodes and you can change that to $1.99 for the regular def. But I don't think there's a way to get cheaper music (from itunes)
