OK, it appears my 10 year WDW obsession is interfering with my ability to figure out Universal! :rotfl:

How do y'all book your resort stays? I've been trying to look up rates online and am becoming overwhelmed! :headache: Where can I find the "Super Saver" rate?

I have AAA, may buy AP, joined Loews-First last month. Looking for December 2007 rates. Also, I know the 2008 rates aren't out yet (we're looking for April 2008), but I can't even navigate through the 2007 rates that are available! Appreciate any advice on the best/easiest way to check rates & availability!

i call and talk to the ressie clerk at UO. that way i can find out what promos or specials that are on when i will be there.

you can check the ap and super saver rates on line.
for the aaa rate, you need to call UO for the information.

the website has changed some and the new one has not been including the aaa ratte.

you can book your stay for april 08 now and modify the rate when the discounts come out.

you can get rates also by using the loewshotels website for the hotel.

Thanks! :) Sounds like the best thing for me to do is call! (guess I could have asked you about it in September @ WDW!!)

You don't have to call UO to find out what the AAA rates are going to be! You can go to www.aaa.com and check out the rates.

I always book the AAA rate as soon as they come out by calling the loews first number. They take a deposit of one night ( rate plus tax ). Make sure they email you a confirmation! Then about 3-4 months before our travel date I start checking the loews website for the super savers rates. ( Better rates are released on the loews website BEFORE they are released on the universal website! ) If you find a better rate, just call the resservations number from your email confirmation and have the rate changed. Make sure they send you a email confirmation with your new lower rate, and print it out and take it with you so you have it when you check in. Actually, its always a good idea to do this with everyone. One year I got to Disneys Animal Kingdom Lodge and they lost my entire PRE-PAID reservation. :( Thank goodness I had all of our confirmation email printed out and on hand, other wise we would have been out of luck.

Hope this helps!:)

I agree, call and talk to a person. They will run the numbers multiple ways to get you the best deal. When they had the free tickets last year, it was actually a bit cheaper to not book it and use the AAA rate.

I appreciate the replies! I know there are all kinds of deals out for 2007, wish they'd get the 2008 info released!

I'm thinking of buying the AP now; current deal is $189.95 for 2 years. Have to buy it by 8/31/07 and activate it by 9/30/07. (that would be a problem) But it says if not activated by 9/30/07 the AP will "self-activate" and will expire on 9/30/2009.

I'd only buy one and then figure out tickets for DH and DD later - since we don't know how often we'll go!

What do y'all think? Does that make sense? TIA! :)
