I need shoe help!

I bought this dress in the purple daisy pattern for a wedding

I'm not sure what color or kind of shoes to wear with it. I don't know why, but I think dressy heels would be a little much for it.

Maybe some wedges in either silver or the purple color of the dress? Just not white shoes.
Unless you're super-tall, I don't think flats would work with that dress length.

That's an adorable dress. I'm pretty plain and conservation with shoes - I don't like strappy anything. I'd go with a black pointy toes slingback but I know most people would be go for a sandal type shoe.

Pretty dress. Shoe choice is so very personal. This time of year and in the summer I would go with a classic with a flirty peek a boo toe with funky nail polish and a funky purse.

If the wedding looks like it will be the sort where you will be on your feet lots then a lower heel but the same basic style.

If you are going for a more casual feel then I'd go with following the lead of the fabric and some flirty espadrilles with purple toe polish to shake things up like OPI Dim Sum Plum or Diva of Geneva.

FWIW, I hate white shoes. They always remind me of Eunice from the Carol Burnett show.

I would either do strappy silver or pewter sandals.

Yeah, black is a neutral and goes with pretty much anything. I wouldn't wear black with navy though. I hate white shoes on grown women and I think silver would look silly on me. Others can pull it off but not me. Like I said I'm pretty conservative with shoes and clothes for that matter - think Talbots, Ann Taylor etc.

I think you'll look smashing in a pretty garden hat with a bag and shoes to match. Small heel, toe out. When is the wedding. April shoes would be different than July shoes, kwim? What time is the wedding? Is it in a church or outside? I have to know all these things before I really can wrap my brain around shoes. One thing I am sure of, if the shoes are purple they have to match perfectly. July, white would be fine in a sandal or silver. April, I'd go with black, find a short little black sweater to wear with it for the wedding and get a black clutch.

Yeah, I've tried to be more daring and stylish but I end up looking silly at least IMO. I do have a pair of black heeled boots that I can rock with skirt pretty well but that's about as wild as I get.

I will be wearing it to 2 weddings, one in May and the other in June.

I was so excited to get this dress yesterday and have it fit perfectly. It is so hard for me to find dresses bc I have broad shoulders and a big chest, anything that ever fits on the bottom is too small on top and vice versa. I was fully prepared for this one not to fit and to have to spend a full day dress shopping.
