I need paypal/ebay help quickly

Hi,

I won and paid for an item on 6/27. The seller claims that the payment is not showing in her paypal account. When I access MY paypal account, it says the amount is "unclaimed."

The seller says that she contacted paypal today and they told her it should clear today or tomorrow and then she will ship the item.

When *I* contacted paypal, they said that they have no account tied to the seller's e-mail address.

What should I do? Should I cancel my payment? I don't have a lot of confidence in the paypal rep. I spoke with, and the e-mail that I sent to paypal has gone unanswered.

I am pretty sure you can only pay to a verified account. (they send two different payments to the checking account of the person registering. that person must report back the exact amounts to verify)

did you pay from existing funds in your paypal account? If they had to draw from your bank to cover the amount then it could tak ea day or three. Maybe more... generaly ten days is not too long for waiting for payments to clear, especialy if you are in contact with the other party.
Unless you are in a huge rush things should work out soon.

Do you have an instant payment account with Pay Pal (using the funds already in your account) or is it taken out of your bank account as needed? If you have the latter type of account, it takes several days for your payment to clear. The email address thing is confusing. Did you pay for the auction using a Pay Pal link on the item page or did you go to Pay Pal yourself and write in her email?
 
I had a similar problem as a seller. PAYPAL had my email account incorrectly logged, so the money remained "unclaimed". The only thing my buyers could do was to cancel that payment. Then I would send them a new invoice with my correct email account on it and they would pay - still through PAYPAL, so they still had all the protection etc. It was a complete pain, and I could tell a few of my customers thought there was something dodgy going in.
Now my email prblem is sorted and money goes straight through.
 

Sounds like you sent the payment to the wrong email. That can happen if the seller changes email addresses and doesn't update with PayPal. Verify the seller's email, cancel the payment, re-send to the correct email.
