Hi,

New here. We are a family of 4 trying to go to disney for 3 or 4 days and stay on site. At the all star movie resort. Can we get 3 day tickets with water park admisstion? What do you think we will have to pay for the resort and tickets for 4 nights?

Thanks for any advice.

I went to the disney site and it gave me a quote of $1,171. I think that was a 5 day hopper plus. This was for a package.

Thanks

First off, DONT buy a package...price them all out seperatly. The price they gave you included a Ultimate Park Hopper, this includes the day you arrive, and your departure day...you didnt say if you were flying in or driving.

You can get a 4 day park hopper adult for 200 and child for about 175. All Stars should run between 70-100 a night depending on season etc.

Some of the Florida ticket wholesalers (Paramount, Ticketmania, Official Ticket Center, etc) do sell 3 day PHP's at times. Same goes for 4 day PHP's. They are not always available. You would need to contact them directly to inquire about current availability. Both 3 and 4 Day PHP's come with one plus option which can be used at the water parks.

Hi Chase121698, and welcome to the DISboards.

In order to help you, we'll need a little more info.

Are there children in your group and if so, how old are they? When do you plan to go? Did the price quote that you got include anything like airfare or ground transportation?

If the price quote that you got was from disney.com, it wasn't 5-day Park Hopper Passes but the Ultimate Park Hopper Passes. Disney Packages never have Park Hopper Passes.

As far as 3-day Park Hopper Plus passes (PHPs) are concerned....yes, they do exist but are not easy to find. You cannot buy them from disney.com, from a Disneystore or at the gate. However, if you are going to a convention or meeting in Orlando, you can often get a 3-day PHP with one plus which includes PI or DQ thru the convention sponsors.

If you're looking for a 3-day PHP with a water park plus option, try signing up for the mousesavers.com newsletter . It comes out on the 15th of every month. There is almost alway a link to Ticketmania with special ticket pricing just for Mousesavers readers and exclusive tickets. I can't give you the link, you need to sign up for the newsletter to get it.

Keep reading this board and you'll get more ways to save a few dollars.

Hi,

We will be driving from NC and have two 5yr olds. Do I need to join AAA to get a discount on the tickets? I'm a stay at home mom and we are on a tight budget so I need to go as cheap as I can. This will be my last big vacation before I go back to work after 5yrs! Thanks for all the help, this board is great!

Where do I get a Disney planning video?

No, you don't need to join AAA to get ticket discounts. I order mine from Ticketmania.com but there are several, reputable online ticket brokers who offer PHPs at discounted rates that are lowerer than the disney.com advance-purchase price.

Where do I get a Disney planning video?

Try this link to order it (it's free): Vacation Planning Kit

I love the DVD! Lots of great stuff to look during that long wait for your upcoming trip.

If you're on a tight budget as you said in another post, then I would stay away from the packages. They ARE NOT always your best bet! I did one on our last trip and I'm sorry that I did. I didn't research things enough and I lost money. Did some things I wouldn't have done without the package, but I could have saved about $1000 doing it on my own. :worried:

On our next trip in 2006, I have budgeted about $1100 for our 7 day 6 night stay. That's food, hotel, and tickets! ::yes:: :teeth: It's just me and my hubby too.

You asked what you pay for tickets and room during your stay, well I can help with one at least: depending on when you are visiting will determine what you pay for the ALLSTAR MOVIE RESORT. I pulled the following info from the Mousesavers site:

Value Season: January 1 - February 11; August 29 - September 29; October 31- December 19
Regular Season: April 18 - August 28; September 30 - October 30
Peak Season: February 12 - April 17
Holiday Season: December 20 - 31

Now click on
THIS LINK so you can see what the prices are for the time you will be visiting.

I do hope that I've helped!

Also check your local paper in the travel section. Sometimes Disney will have specials on room only reservations codes. You can sometimes get a room at the All-Stars between $45 to $79, it all depends on the season. You won't miss them, they are alway big 1/4 page ads.

Alamo (Call this number: 1-800-560-2397) has a three day hopper + one option {Water park or Pleasure Island} for $169.35 for an adult, child's will be less, but i'm not sure of the price. Just ordered one myself for my up coming trip.
