ok i was wondering if you thought it was weird/bad to loose 5 lbs over night like while your sleeping


cuz my friend and i both have lost 5 lbs over night and we were just wondering pleeze help!!!!!!!!!!!:(
 
I think you burn calories while sleeping so that might help. Plus, you hadn't eaten anything in so many hours.
 
i don't think you have anything to worry about. Maybe you went through a growth spurt. it happened to me twice. I'm fine dont worry::MinnieMo
 
How old are you? If you are still quite young then you are lossing your puppy fat, dont worry it happened to me I lost like 10 pounds in a week when I lost my puppy fat.
 

i am 13 i never had puppy fat cuz i lost it when i was a week old and got dehidrated and had a stroke and i dont think i went through a growth spurt cuz i am 5"2' and my mom said that i probably wouldnt grow anymore and i havent scince the summer but thanx anyway:D
 
If you're gonna weigh yourself, you need to do it with no clothes on at the same time like once a week - that's the most accurate....like when you wake up first thing in the morning. So definitely don't over react.
 
weighing yourself day to day does not indicate true weight, since it changes so much. You're going to have to do it around once a week. Your body is just changing. If you see dramatic weight loss, you should probably ask a doctor.

At 13, unless you have some sort of medical condition, you will NOT stop growing... Most people don't stop until they're in their late teens to early 20s
 
Ummm... People can lose weight while sleeping? I didn't know that... I don't think it's werid... Probably just your body digesting... or something... maybe eating body fat... Or maybe it is bed bug (such thing) chewing on your skin or something.. Better wash your sheets just incase..
 
It is normal to weigh less, and even to look skinnier, when you wake up. This can occur if the weight you are during the day (or the little belly you may have during the day) is due to bloating (caused by water retention, eating too much salt). The bloating can go down over night-causing you to lose a few lbs, or have a flatter stomach :) Hope this helps!

Actually you can stop growing at anytime during your teens, and not have a condition. I stopped growing when I was 13, I am still the same height that I was then and I am now 18 (I am only 5 ft). It does happen, just not very often.
