If you mean capturing a screen shot, it would help tremendously if you tell us your operating system. It also would help if you tell us what you want to do with the "picture".

If you are on Windows

1. Press Print Screen key on your keyboard. Might say Print or PrtSc or a variation of this. This will take a screen shot of everything that is on your screen. So - if you have vmk open and your finances, we will all see your money. Got it?

2. Open Paint or another photo editing program.

3. Press CTRL-V or Edit > Paste.

4. Your screen shot will appear.

5. Crop your screen shot using the tools in the program you are in.

Voila!

Let me know if you have any other questions. Oh - if you are using a Mac, it has been a while and I don't have one here so I will refrain from giving you wrong instructions. Hopefully someone else can post if needed.

see the thing is when i go to print preview it shows pitch black. is that what print screen is? by the way im useing windoes XP.
