Help fellow disboarders!!! I just received a quote from dreams unlimited for a cruise in September 2006. It sounds good - I have 48 hours to decide. My question - would I do better if I wait and book on board the ship when I am there in September 2005. They have quoted me $2080.00 for a catagory 11 for a 7 night cruise with 2 stops at Castaway Cay. Any advice would be sooooo appreciated!!! :confused3

I don't know the "correct" answer, but I would jump on it. By Sept 05, rates may go up sufficiently that any discount you get by booking on board might not cover the price increase. Good luck!

Invest in the 250.00 per person to "lock in" the price if you think it's a good deal. Then check on pricing as time goes on. You get 100% refund up 'till 60 days out. You can simply cancell and rebook if it gets cheaper....JMHO

You can also do the same if it's cheaper to book on the ship!!!

Why not do what I did. I booked one of the double Castaway Cruises awhile ago. While onboard the Magic last month, I asked the agent to please see if it would be worthwhile for me to convert it to an onboard booking.

From the time I booked it, the price had risen to the point where the onboard offer would have been more after both the 10% discount and $200.00 SBC was factored in. :flower:

Well this is a tricky question. To book or wait. We first went in Oct of 2003, booked again while onboard. Saved the 10% and got the onboard credit, came home and I mentined this to our TA and apologized to her for doing this but we just could not pass this up. She took over the booking and saved us another $100. I was quite pleased with it all.
