You have to excuse my compacted family in advance

So my step mom is definitely doing the river ride over fop due to motion sickness

I am planning on doing the river ride over flight of passage due to my fear of heights

My mom and dh are the dare devils in the family and are doing flight of passage

The complicated part would it be better for both groups to try the attractions with out a fp and get a fp later that way if dh and my mom decided I can ride flight of passage I can still ride that way I am not riding fop alone

If you think you might want to ride fop, then you need to get a fp+ reservation. The standby line is hours long. I have riden it multiple times and it is not like soarin where your ride vehicle moves upward.

Your motorcycle is stationary. Not sure your fear of heights would kick in.

I would try and ride the river ride at rope drop.

Doesn't the ride drop 10 feet and for what it's worth I found soarin tame

If you found soarin tame, then you should do fine on flight of passage. It is basically the same concept. You can always close your eyes if the simulated flying gets too intense for you.

Your motorcycle does not drop. You just watch a movie like you do in soarin that simulates flying on the back of a banshee.

Here's my response from your other thread:

Anyone who 'might' or will want to ride FoP should have a FP for.

If you don't have a FP for it you won't be able to get a same day one and you don't want to wait 90+ min in line. It'll be much easier to change to a different ride or cancel it vs not having it.

-Everyone get FoP as a FP (if it's available when you book), rope drop Ak and everyone head straight for River Journey, after that go ride FoP or have those that want to ride it use their FP then.

-if you want others to ride it first then let you know if you can do it, then those riding it should head straight there and ride it then. Depending how early you get to rope drop (I'd recommend 60-90 min prior to park opening), estimate a 10-75 min wait for standby right at opening. After those ride it then they can let you know and whoever wants to can ride again with the FP.

Just know the motion sickness factor on FoP isn't that bad. It's not like Star Tours or Mission Space. And a fear of heights shouldn't be too much for this ride
