We have never done the Kidcot stations before, but now that DS is 6 and DD is almost 4, we will be when we go in Oct. Please tell me specifics of what there is to do at each country's station.

Also -- how much do the passport books cost that the kids can get stamped?

THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!!!

Bumping this because I would like info as well. My kids will be 3.5 and 5.5 when we go in Dec and I would like to try this this time out! Thanks in advance!

Hi,

We are not recent kidcot visitors, our last Disneyworld trip was in May, but I think they are doing the same thing. My kids made masks. At the first country the kids made a mask, they color it and get a stamp on the mask stick plus they put something native to the country on the mask. Then in all the other countries they can continue to color the mask if they haven't already finished it, get a stamp from the country plus something native from the country which is usually attached onto the mask by the cast member. In Norway, a viking boat was attached, in Japan my son's mask got a headband etc. One year they even wrote my children's name in the native language but they didn't this last time. My kids love doing this!!! Before a trip when I ask what are the important things they must do, kidcot stations are always on their lists. When we were there in May, most of the kidcot stations were near or in the gift shops. I am not sure what the passports cost sorry. Have a great time.

In January ( and in our last 5 trips) the kids were able to make a mask at the kidcot stops in Epcot. You get a blank mask on a stick at any of the stops. Then at every country, you get to decorate it. They put a stamp on the stick with the country's name you are visiting, and each country has its own little decoration to add. This january we got ( and Im looking at the mask) the following.. Butterfly cut out( united kingdom), Maple leaf cut out ( canada), teddy bear cut out, an oragami bow from japan, a rocking horse cutout from America, a paper nose, viking ship cutout from Norway, hot air balloon cut out from france, dragon cutout from china, a triangle with a stamp on it of the mexican pyramid, music note stickers, and other stickers, and stamps. There are always markers, and sometimes paint at every stop. Some countries, like china and morocco, will write your childs name in thier language on the back, and china also figures out what animal year you were born in, year of the rooster is on my DD's, and they stamp that on the mask as well. The past 2 trips we also got a dream/wish star. On the star, there was a space for every country to write DREAM in their language. Then, the wish circle in the middle came out, and the kids gave it to the 'wish fairy' during the tapestry parade. Now that the parade is over, i dont know if they are doing anything different. We have like 5 or 6 masks, so I wish they would think of something new for the kids to do. We have also done the passports, and I want to say the were around $9.00. You get the pass port, and stickers and stuff. My kids still love to stop and do the masks even though the have so many!! Its a great way to enjoy epocts world showcase with kids. It give them something to look forward to

I think the passports are around $10.
It would be really good to hear from someone who has done Kidcot since the parade ended, as the Kidcot activities were related to the parade.

I believe the only difference in the masks now that Tapestry is gone is that they no longer have the wishing stars on them. A CM from each country would write "dream" in their native language on the star and when the parade went by, the kids dropped a pop-out circle into the baskets. Last time we did the masks, they didn't have the stars attached anymore.

We were there late July, early Aug. and
the kidcot stations were my 5 yr. old
daughter's favorite part of Epcot. From
my observations, a lot really depended on
how busy the station was and if the cm
was interested ?? The cm at China was
wonderful and wrote my daughter's name
and birthday on the back of the mask in
Chinese.
In most countries the cm's were very nice,
and when the station was not busy she
received some great one-one attention.

The station's that were busy it was more of
a quick stamp, attach the banner, and move
over for the next kid.
