Okay so this is my assignment for my Management 301 class. Yes I am a complete slacker and the paper is due Thursday at 11:00am.

"There is a requirement for a term paper. You are to choose any business firm you desire and submit a 10 to 12 page double-spaced, typed paper regarding that firm. The paper should be professional in nature and should be written so as to provide as much information as possible to someone who might be interested in a managerial position with that firm. Obviously, you may want to write about the history of the firm, its market, the products or services it offers, its organizational structure, the overall mission of the firm and the strategies it pursues in attempting to reach its goals and objectives, its human resources program, and its overall financial condition. You may include graphs, charts, etc. Indicate at the end of your paper your source of information."

I have decided to do mine on The Walt Disney Company. I found some good info on their website, but I still need more! The parts I need more help with are:
the overall mission of the firm
the strategies it pursues in attempting to reach its goals and objectives
its human resources program

If anyone has any information (maybe a past or current Cast Member?) or knows where I can find some, I will love you forever if you would be so kind to share it with me! :teeth:

Thanks so much!

Ok, I'm going to be a total librarian here and tell you to contact your library :goodvibes
No, seriously, many libraries will have great business resources, including online databases that they subscribe to. We have a lot of investors in the community I work in, so we get a lot of business periodicals and databases. Many online databases will give you company info, annual reports and relevant articles from magazines and newspapers. Since it's a public company, it'll be a lot easier to find info on them. See if there's an Investor's page on their site. That will usually have more "insider" stuff than the general site.
Hope that helps (and sorry if any of this is stuff you already know. Like I said, I'm in "librarian" mode - especially since I'm at work now!)

What does Disney make?? "They make people happy", hopefully they do that by providing entertainment through the media, themeparks, books, movies and toys. They had also better make their share holders happy.

The librarian is on to something! There are some books about Disney and their management, core values, corporate culture, etc. I think one is called the Disney Way. Good luck, it's a great topic. :)

Print out there Shareholders report and financials from the website. There's usually a section on Management Analysis where they discuss where the company is headed.

With only two days left, you might be hard-pressed to find (let alone read) these books, but you might want to check these out.
