How about decoupage (Modge-Podge)?? That way they could put almost anything on their covers, like rubber stamps, pictures, stickers, die cuts, etc. I talked DD into not having the premade fabric books covers for her school books this year by agreeing to decoupage the brown paper covers. They came out great! Her social studies book has two pictures from our
Disneyland trip this summer. Her math book has some die cut flowers all over it. And I gave her free rein of my alphabets to make her book titles. They could design the cover and you could do the decoupaging (depending on their age). It should be dry enough in about an hour or so to handle it to take it home. Just a thought.................P
