I need computer help..........(And this is no joke!)

There are awful grey ghost shadows all across the screen. Every line of text or block of color continues as a grey shadow. We thought it was the monitor and went out and bought a new one last night. But it's not the monitor, the new one looks the same and the old monitor works fine on the kids' computer.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know what's wrong?

Did it just happen all of a sudden, or slowly degenerate? Maybe the video card. Not really sure, that is all that comes to mind. At least you got a nice new monitor so far.

It just happened all of a sudden. I came home from Barb Con and found it like this.

My gut instinct was that it was the video card. I called my DH and double checked with him and he completely agrees with me. They are fairly cheap and not too hard to install if you want to try to fix it yourself. Good luck
