Last year I took the kids on a roadtrip from RI to Orlando. We stayed at Nick Hotel (using a Priceline or Expedia deal of $89 a nite:cool1:). We also had a great price on a rental... We only did a Disney Water Park and Downtown Disney. Other than that we stayed at Nick Hotel...We had a great time

So I decided to make this an annual "roadtrip". however I can't bear to be in Orlando and not see some of Disney's magic. But this year April break falls during Easter so everything is sky high and I'm worried about crowds...

Orlando isn't out. The kids want to stay at Coco Key and Nick HOtel. I'd love to visit Seaworld, but I REALLY WANT OTHER SUGGESTIONS OTHER THAN ORLANDO.

Must likely we will be driving so something on the East Coast. We want something warm. Bush Gardens and Hershey Park are not yet open

This is a budget trip, I'm hoping to spend less than $2,000 for the week. Its me and dd13, ds12 and ds6.

Thanks for any ideas1

You could pass up Orlando and go down to southern florida for a beach vacation, just get a nice beach hotel and do beach/hotel time. You could get a hotel with a great pool and do that. (We do beach vacations a lot, big thing in my area) South florida in April should be warm enough to do the beach, but you would have to pass up Orlando.

Also, you may re-check Bush Gardens Williamsburg, they may have open dates on the weekends that time of year, so you could do that park, and then do the Washington DC area, do the Smithsonian museums, and all the sights and stuff in DC, and do Colonial Williamsburg too.
