I need advice on when to book!

We are not going until January 2008, however, I am making the reservation for 17 people at ASMu and will need:

2 family suites
2 preferred rooms

I know that packages will not come out until next summer, and we do want a package. However, should I reserve rooms now and will that cost me one night's deposit for each room?

Thank you for your input -- I know someone here will have just the solution. I don't want to pay now if I don't have too, but I also don't want there not to be enough space.

Also, we are going January 1-11th in case you think that makes a difference because of the marathon.

As soon as your 500 day window is open go ahead and book. This is from your last date. If my math is correct you are fine to book now, you would also qualify for a Grand Gathering.

I would wait until the package for 2008 are available. If you book now you will have to book it as a room only and then they would have to refund you the deposit and rebook it as a package because they can't transfer the money from a room only reservation to a package reservation

The 2008 packages probably won't be available until the summer of 2007 sometime
