Ok...I will try to make this as short as possible. I previously had ressies booked for 4 nights at Poly GV Concierge then to the YC for 5 nights. I had the Poly first because my youngest DS will turn 6 during the stay. Anyway, when I found out about the SAB rehab, I decided to leave the YC. First, I added one more night to the Poly and 4 nights at BWI. The BWI only had water view with the code and once I starting thinking about it, I was paying as much for the BWI as I was at the Poly and the Poly was concierge. I wasn't that excited about the BWI anyway so I decided to change to 9 nights at the Poly. Sounds great, right? But therein lies the problem.

I added 3 more nights at GV Concierge without a hitch (making a total of 8 consecutive nights at the Poly), but the final night of our planned itinerary is unavailable (Jan 25). I can get a GV regular room or a LV regular room but no concierge available at the moment. LV costs almost as much as the concierge does. I would rather spend the extra on concierge and maybe get lucky with a LV anyway.

I know this is getting long, but I am wrapping it up - stick with me please!! Should I:

a: Book a separate ressie for the final night for a std room just to cover my bases. or
b: Keep calling everyday to try to add another night to my existing ressie

If I make another ressie, I'll have to make another deposit because I had my deposit from the BWI ressie to my existing Poly ressie. Hope this makes some sense. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks

I would keep calling to see if something opens up. If it gets real close and nothing is available can they just add any kind of room at the Poly onto your existing reservation? If you have to make another deposit then the choice is yours where you want to stay-you could always try another deluxe for the last night just to experience something different. What about WL Concierge or AKL Concierge?

Definately keep calling though.

Also, you could just book a regular room for your last night at the Poly and when you're in the Concierge lounge mention your situation to the CM's and maybe they can swing something for you so you wouldn't have to change rooms your last night. I'm sure they would go out of your way to see to it that you wouldn't have to change rooms on your last night and if you did maybe they would still give you access to the Conc. area on your room key.

Good luck

Make your ressies and keep calling to add that last night!

We were able to add to our Poly concierge this last November,
got that last night about 2 weeks before our trip.
I did have another ressie at DD for the last night for
"backup" if we were unable to get that conceirge room.

There are always cancellations.
Persistance is the key to getting great deals and rooms!

Good luck and have a wonderful stay at the Poly concierge.
Prepare yourself to be spoiled!;)

I also would say cover your bases and then keep trying for what you really want. We just returned from the Poly. I wanted to add an extra night onto our stay but was told they were totally booked. We were put on a long waiting list and then told that even if something did open up we would be paying rack rates (I had booked at AP rates)! I have to say I was a little disappointed that I did not receive any help from the staff about other options such as staying at another resort for the extra night. We were a little nervous driving up through the Carolinas after the ice storm which why we wanted an extra night - only response from the Poly staff was - "Sorry we're booked solid." I expected a little more service from a "deluxe".

Thanks guys, I think I'll go ahead and book a std garden room so I won't have to leave resorts and hope that the GV conc will open up.
