Ok since the big deal did not pan out for us we are looking for some sort of discount. I went to the AAA webpage and did not see any discounts that people are talking about. We are going in January- can someone PLEASE help me. I can not find anything. THanks so much

If it makes you feel any better, I talked to my AAA TA and she priced out the deal (7 for the price of 4 through disney) and we were actually $21 cheaper going through AAA package - for 11 people with dining (didn't get the $200 gift card, but we had a hard time getting rooms for MLK weekend and didn't want to risk that).

I booked our May vacation through our AAA travel agent an hour or so ago...we saved $428 MORE than if we'd just got the same plan with a AAA room discount.

Had we booked just AAA, we would have received 20% off the cost of the room only (no discount on the tickets, dining, etc.) So it would have saved us $330 off the Disney website/no discount price. So our total savings was $758

If you are trying to book AAA, you better try soon. There is a limited number of AAA-discounted rooms available, and January is coming around fast-they may not have any AAA available rooms at your choice of resort.

So I guess it would be best to call an agent- there is nothing on line??

I have never had any luck trying to book AAA stuff on-line, seems like it always appears to be going through, but always gets hung up so I don't know if you can get the room discount online.

From what my TA says, sounds like they actually have to check with Disney to see if there are any available AAA-discount rooms for your dates & hotel choices. So yeah, check with your AAA travel agent.

If you're booking a room only (no dining plan), you can get the AAA discount directly through Disney. If you want a package, you have to go through AAA.

I was just going to say that as well. If you want the whole package you must go through AAA, if you want a room only discount you can use any TA you want or go through Disney directly. It worked out better for us to use our own TA and book a room only since we weren't interested in the dining plan.

I'm pretty annoyed with AAA right now... My TA (who's been quick in replies and accommodating - making my ADR's, writing in requests) is away until 11/17. The person handling her clients has been non-communitative and when she does reply - very short with answers and not giving details. This morning she e-mailed and said that the discount doesn't apply for my existing reservation... WHY??? I had to e-mail her to find out - no availability. Whatever, I'm cancelling when my original TA gets back.

There is no way that my ADR's will cancel too, right???? Unless she called and cancelled them herself??? She wouldn't do that, would she???

If she made your ADR's as part of your booking and you cancel, yes she can cancel them. It was part of the work she was getting paid for by the commission on your booking. If there is no commission coming, she may cancel all work she did for you- including ADR's.

I would offer to pay her a fee for her time doing the ADR's. Why should someone do work and not get paid?
