There will be 7 of us. My family and my dad. I would really like a pool. Do you think it will be to cold then? I can not change the dates due to my husband's job has man dadted vactions. Thanksgiving week, Christmas week and the fourth of July. The July vation my dh dose not want to go because of the heat and neither dose my dad. so Thanksgiving is the only option!5mins2disney said:Hmm....that's going to be tough, it's holiday (high) season in terms of rates.
What size home do you need? How many guests? (start there) Decide how many bedrooms you want, since that is how all of the homes are advertised / listed. Amenities? Do you want a pool? (Cut out the pool and pool heat and you should be able to find something less expensive too).
It's pretty far off though, so there should still be the pick of the litter in terms of places to choose from, but you're not going to get the premium resorts at that rate most likely.
I would suggest looking at some of the places that are further away from WDW (like 15-20 minutes out)... Davenport, Clermont, other towns are less expensive due to the location. We haven't stayed in any place like this so can't personally recommend or tell you to avoid any places in particular, maybe someone else here can!
www.vrbo.com is a good place to look.
http://www.thedibb.co.uk/villa/map.htm The Dibb has a map of the area resorts, you can look up a place by the location once you know where you're looking, again, the further out places tend to be less expensive, but the holiday factor is working against you.
You also might consider visiting a week earlier or a week later when the rates are significantly lower (usually considered low season versus the peak rate). You will also find the parks less crowded, and places like priceline.com will give you much better rates on rental cars.
Another thought for saving some $$....if you get a small group of people together, you can rent one of the larger homes / villlas. The 5-6-7 bedroom houses are more economical if you split it up between several families, you end up paying a lower cost per family (in general) than one family staying in a smaller unit. 4 years ago we had 3 families go and rent an 8 bedroom / 8 bathroom mansion in Cape Coral FL for $1400 for the whole week (yes... we each paid under $500!), although that's an extreme example!
Tough time to find good deals since it's such a busy / popular season, much like Xmas, Easter, etc, but best of luck!

Most of the ones I've looked at have 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, and 2 twins. Can the older girls share? They have full kitchens, washer/dryer, 2 or 3 bathrooms and a screened patio. There is a community pool & clubhouse, plus a playground for the little ones.
some of the townhouses have splash pools too.
Some of them are not. For example, in Feb '05, Glenbrook's community pool wasn't. It may have been a transient thing, but it might not have.I'd think any community pool would be heated, so that's something to think about.
