Tomorrow night at work we are doing a holiday party.

Does anyone have any good ideas?

So far..I know we will have

Wings
lunch meat tray with potato/pasta salad
Baked Ziti
Salsa cheese and chips

Pies
Cookie tray

Beverages

There will be about 15-22 people (depending on the participation)

Unfortunately...no oven available...so no way of reheating.

Meatballs - throw them in a crockpot with your favorite spagetti sauce. My family likes Prega with mushrooms.

I make a pot of chili for every potluck at work. I have an enormous crockpot and I fry the hamburger/onion/red pepper at home and take that in a big baggie and just carry the cans with me and open them at work.

Here's the "recipe":

1 lb hamburger, browned with 1 chopped onion and one chopped red pepper
3 28 oz cans diced tomatos
1 15 oz can Ro-tel tomatos with green chile
1 15 oz can corn
1 15 oz can kidney beans

Put everything in the crockpot and just heat it up--it's not necessary to drain the corn or kidney beans. I take some shredded cheddar cheese for people to top the chili with if they'd like. At home, I add a small can of diced green chile but some people don't like the extra spice. If your crock pot is smaller, you can just use two of the big cans of tomatos.

They practically lick the pot clean--I've never taken any of this back home with me. It's economical and very tasty.

Hmmm..that's a possiblity

You don't need rolls - maybe just some toothbicks . Forks will work fine.
oh...i never thought of that. Thanks.

This is cheep, easy and festive looking:

1 container of grape tomatoes
1 package of Cream cheese
1 container of feta cheese
1 small jar of pesto
pine nuts-toasted
balsamic vinegar

cut tomatoes in half, marinade in balsamic vinegar-overnight if possible
mix the cream cheese and feta cheese together (I put them in a bowl together and warm in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to make it easier to mix). Spread mixture on plate, spread pesto on top, add tomatoes and toasted pinenuts and serve with crackers or baguettes.

Take a tossed salad. Put Italian dressing on it and toss before you go. Anyone who is watching his/her weight will be most appreciative.

Another inexpensive item: deviled eggs. I just mix the yolks with a little mayo and mustard, some salt and pepper Sprinkle a little dill or paprika on top. They are delish — and everyone always loves them.

meatballs in the crockpot with teriyaki sauce! YUMMY!!!

I work with 22 guys... so not many are watching their weight..but actually this might be a good idea.
We already have 'main' dishes.... I could do both the salad and the eggs. And maybe pick up a few dozen rolls too.

I knew everyone here would make me think!!!!

Thanks guys.

And I'm keeping the other suggestions for future parties! :thumbsup2

Cocktail wienies are always a hit at our parties. Mix in crockpot with ketchup, brown sugar, dash of worchester (sp?)sauce, and drain the juice off a can of pineapple and set the juice aside and add the pineapple. Mix to taste. Yummy!!!! Use toothpicks to serve.:)

Meatballs are always easy and cheap...just meatballs and gravy...wah-lah, and always a popular thing on the table.

We're making them to take to my aunt's house Christmas eve. We're also making, Rotel dip which is just a can of Rotel and a pack of velveeta, also we're bringing buffalo chicken dip. It's a can of chicken, ranch dressing, cream cheese, and franks hot sauce. Yummo!

my favorite meatball in a crockpot recipe:

mix equal parts grape jelly and chile sauce (I prefer Heinz).

Once the grape jelly has melted in the crock pot, dump in the pre-cooked meatballs and let cook for a couple of hours. Yummmm-yyyyyy.
