I'm visiting my cousin before he goes way to some military Training. He is in the military and has had a hard time with it. -for just starting out he is much older than most of the guys he is around... I want to do some neat things for him while he is away. I am visiting him at the end of October...he leaves shortly after that...I would like to put together a small scrapbook for him to send to him when he is gone. (if that is ok) I know I'll be taking A LOT of pictures...it took a long time for all of us to meet up and really get to know each other...now that we do we are pretty close but dont get a lot of time together-distance always gets in the way...I was lucky my work schedule is allowing me to fly down to see him!!!
Has anyone used a really small scrapbook?
What kinds of things should I include??? I don't know much about the military...or what would be good to scrap....Any ideas as to what I can send him?
Thanks for your help!

First of all - That is really cool of you to want to scrap something for him. My brother is a lifer in the AF and I have always wanted to do something for him because his wife takes pictures of everything but just havne't done it yet.

Anyway enough rambling, Just a thought. Creative Memories I know has stickers available in the different services and their little 6x6 albumns are a nice size if you're wanting to go small. If you want to go 12x12, I know I have seen at my LSS and at Hobby Lobby different branches of the service for each album.

Good Luck and happy scrappin.

Cool...6x6 sounds like a good size...I'll have to see what I can find.
This might take some work...but he's worth it!

I was going to suggest the same album. I don't use CM much but I do feel if you want something quick and not have to think alot about colors CM makes it easy for you. Keeping it simple. Stay in the same colors. They sell sticker packs to put those albums together in a snap. (hence the name, Snap pack)
I did a teacher's album in the CM6x6 and it did go together easy.
What a nice thing to do!

like that for my friend in IRAQ.

I chose to make tags then pass them out to family and friends to write a note on - then I would make a page with the tag- and add pictures or put them on the facing page.

I used the CM small book (not quite sure the exact measurements though!)

I also included pictures of her squad before they left - and a quote from her Sargent about how they WILL all come home safe!

Those are some great ideas! I love the tag idea...I'm just going to have to see what I can find as far as motivational sayings....I'm hoping to get good pictures while I am there...any ideas on motivational sayings that might work??

I've done both 5x7 and 6x6 albums. I like both sizes but one word of warning- If you use 4x6 photos the 6x6 leaves only a 2 inch border (or one inch on each side) along the top, bottom or side if you don't crop the photos. Do you know what I mean? I hadn't taken that into consideration the first time I used one and the stickers and embellishments I bought were on the larger size. I like the 6x6 size too because I can cut a 12x12 piece of paper or cardstock and I have 4 pages wallpapered!!:)

I think it's a great thing to do this for your cousin!
