We ate at Hollywood and Vine a little over a week ago. One of their side dishes was cornbread with a sweet cream corn mixture poured over the top. It was HEAVENLY! Does anyone have
the recipe?

Creamed Corn Bread

1 cup self-rising cornmeal
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
8 ounces sour cream
1 small can creamed corn

Mix ingredients in above order. Place in greased 9-inch glass round pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 375 degrees F.

Ooooh, Pumba, I'd LOVE to have the recipe from Hollywood and Vine. I'll admit, I went back for 2nds on this dish. Seems to me that it must have some kind of sweetener in it. Thanks for checking it out for me!

We make something similar - I think. (Mine calls for a couple additional ingredients, like vanilla, honey & cinnamon.) One of the things that makes it really good, though, is that you bake it like a bread pudding.

You put the pan with the corn bread in a larger pan & fill the larger one 1/3 of the way up with hot water. Cover the corn bread (just the batter, not the water) & bake for 30 to 40 min. You're supposed to take the smaller pan out of the water & let it sit for 10 min before serving with an ice cream scoop. My kids rave about this! :teeth:

I'd love to see the H&V's recipe for this! ;)

Oh - I forgot to add that I sometimes make this with just a box of corn muffin mix - when I'm lazy. ;)

You'll never guess what I came across today!

Disney’s Creamed Corn Spoon Bread
Hollywood & Vine
Ingredients:
1½ c cornmeal
1 c buttermilk
8 Tbl sugar
1½ c corn, frozen
2 Tbl baking powder
1 c milk
1 tsp salt
¼ c butter

*Blend all ingredients together
*Blend with Burre Mixer and add dry ingredients
Any Creamed Corn (Heated) 3 Cups

Method:
Add dry ingredients to liquid and mix together until well blended. Pour into well greased pan (9” x 13”) and Place in steamer and cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Top with creamed corn and serve.

NOTE: Most homes do not have a steamer - you will have to use a double broiler and still cook for 15 to 20 minutes

(I found it on the MouseTyme site.)
