I have been racking the boards to try and find the answers to a few questions about drinks at WDW restaurants - hope the experts here can help.:goodvibes- as we leave in less than a week and I am stressing over the whole "hydration" thing :scared:

1) If you request a glass of water at a restaurant - is it tap water or something that I can drink? ( Sorry Mickey but Florida tapwater is yukky! )

2) My hubby is a HUGE ice tea drinker and prefers his tea unsweetened with lemon ( if available) - is Florida ice tea "sweet tea" or is it just like suntea?

Thanks for all your help and I am ready to here from you popcorn::

I always ask for lemon in my water, it kind of masks that "tap water" taste.

The iced tea is unsweetened.

HTH

I love Ice Tea -unsweet please!! I know they have it at the McDonalds kiosk next to Canada in Epcot! I ONLY go for Ice Tea!

. . . tap water
. . . Mickey does not give you Perrier for free
. . . Mickey does not give you anything for free

. . . Central Florida tea is not typically a "sweet tea" area
. . . you get this mainly in the Carolinas, Georgia and upper Florida

They do have Splenda.

The tap water is awful and I find that even lemon doesn't help me.

If you request plain water you will receive tap water.

WDW ice tea for the most part is a Nestea unsweetened concoction. It is not very good or clean tasting in my opinion. It is not fresh brewed as in suntea. It is an instant mix, usually made with hot water to dissolve the cyrstals/mix. It is unsweetened, and lemon is redily available. It is not sweet tea, although sweet tea is available at select locations.

I am a huge tea drinker and after about 3 days out of a 10 day trip in June, I swore it off.
