I need a Beach Club Resort expert!

My mom insists that there was some sort of tram to Epcot from BC, in the past. I say there wasn't. Help us!!

There did used to be a tram from the IG area (you can still see the remnants of the loading area across from the boat dock), but I believe it went to the Boardwalk. Not sure when it actually started or for how long it existed - it was gone before 1998, though. It may have initially been for the guests of the BWI. I don't know if it stopped at the BC or not.

There is no tram, though there is a boat that leave from the YC marina. The walk from BC isn't much longer than the walk from where the boat drops you off and the walk from BC to the YC marina.

Sorry, Denise, your mom is right!

To clarify, the tram was actually there before the Boardwalk was built. The first time we stayed at the BC (June 1994) we took the tram ( I have home videos to prove it!) from the IG back to the BC because our two little ones were wiped out.

IIRC, it went the long way...first passing the open area where the BW is now, then it stopped at the Swan, Dolphion, YC, and finally the BC. I felt like we were on it forever!

I don't know when it started running, but I think they stopped it when the BW was in contruction or finalized. Carol is right when she says it was gone by 1998. I think it was even gone by 1996.

So did the S/D open before the Y&BC? I can't remember. We first stayed at the Y&BC in '91 and I know we didn't take the tram. Not sure if it was still operating then or not?

Hi, The TRAM definitely went to the BW,we would take it back to the BW when we stayed at the BWV,when they first opened! We still talk about it and how FAST it went! It was a FUN ride at the end of a LONG day,and it sure beat WALKING! Joan
