I completely understand. I hate the way my husband eats anything small like m&ms or skittles. He takes a handful then does this shake thing. It’s hard to explain but drives me nuts.

Probably not. This is usually caused by a miserable condition called post-nasal drip and it's aggravated by lots of environmental things that are not actual allergies. I have it and it's much worse in dry conditions - the only thing that really helps is raising the humidity. I'm very self-conscious about it and it's embarrassing.

Our HR lady sucks spittle through the corner of her mouth. She's the one we have to sit and listen to for an hour every year during the medical benefits sign-up meetings, and again during the 401k meetings. Every time... ssssss... she talks, about every other... ssssss... word she says... ssssss... she sucks through the corner... ssssss... of her mouth. It's... ssssss... disgusting.

Okay now, that's just horrible. It's probably a habit and she doesn't know she does it. Would be horrible for people who suffer from misophonia, which can cause a terrific build up of rage when hearing certain sounds.
