I Might Have to Break A Tradition and I Need Your Help!

Traditionally, on our first day in WDW, we go to the MK. We are going down for a long weekend on 9/29. This is a MNSSHP night. We won't get to our resort until about 2:15pm. We're staying at the GF. I want to check in as soon as we get there then head to the MK. But if they're going to kick us out early, will it be worth it to go over there? What time do they start ushering non-MNSSHP guests out? Is it 6pm? I mean, we could get there by 3pm (barring any transportation complications), stay until 6pm then either hop to Epcot or just go back to the hotel and relax.

What would you do? I think I will cry if I have to break this WDW tradition!!!

If you have hopper passes then go for it. Otherwise, I wouldn't waste a day on 2 or 3 hours. They will usher people out before the 7pm start of MNSSHP.
I would just go and ride Splash Mountain, shop (or whatever) and then head over to Epcot for the evening.


I know what you mean about doing MK on the first day. Sadly on our December trip, our first day is a parade filming day and we aren't going anywhere near MK Oh well, we will just have to settle with riding EE

First, double check those hours over at the Disney site. The MK closes on October party nights at 7PM---and I think they mean it because the number has not changed. That right there will give you an extra hour.

I am having some deep doubts about how the MNSSHP party nights will work. Without the one hour buffer how will CMs clear the park of non paying MNSSHP guests? I am not advocating anything sneaky here, but you just may find yourself in position to see a free MNSSHP parade and Hallowishes if you're in the park that day. I just don't see how the crowds are going to get sorted out.
