I met who?

Ok, so tonight I was on the phone with my Dad for a couple of hours talking about absolutely everything and a whole lot of nothing. In the course of the conversation, he pops up with the information that I met Annette Funicello and Jimmie Dodd when I was a little kid around the same time that the Magic Kingdom park first opened.

How on Earth could I not remember that!?!?!?​

Granted that I was all of maybe 4 years old at the time, but I knew who the Mouseketeers were. I have always loved Annette, so this one has me seriously confused. I remember very little from that trip, but still, Annette Funicello!?!?! Come on brain, pop a way back memory bubble open or something! I would love to be able to remember that.

Has this happened to any of you? Who did you meet that you had no clue about until someone told you about it later in life?

Almost 40 years later, the man tells me that I met Annette Funicello. OMG

Keep in mind Annette would have been close to 30 and would not have looked like what a 4 year old would have remembered. I have to admit I had a crush on her and still have many pictures I cut out from when she was very young. She is one of the very few child actors that their has never to my knowledge anything bad been said about her. I never missed the original Mickey Mouse club with Annette.

I would demand proof, in form of a picture....just kidding. Still a really cool story. And who knows maybe one day your brain will relinquish the memory for you to enjoy.

LOL, what usually happens to me is that my parents have gotten the facts wrong. Either it was a sibling or I wasn't even born yet. Demand proof.
