I met a DISer yesterday!

I had the opportunity to have lunch and coffee with a fellow DISer yesterday. Sandy....aka...Pin Wizard came to town and we were able to have a nice visit. Actually a pre-visit as we will meet again tomorrow at the Hampton Roads DIS meet at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg where a group of approximately 20 DISers will gather for an afternoon of fun! This is my first meet so I am very excited.

Debbie, just another great reason to be back in the states, you don't have to travel internationally to meet most DISers now!

I didn't vote. Though I haven't met any Disers, I've had many chance to. While in both Disney World & Universal last July, there were Disers everywhere. I was just too shy to say anything. Once a Diser stood next to me waiting to go on Pooh. I know, pathetic huh?

Here's a question: Has anyone ever seen a lime green ribbon, appoached the person, only to find out that it's somethone that you've...um....had a little disagreement with....you know, over breast feeding in public or pool hopping or refillable mugs or cruise dinner attire or 6 in a room or .......you know. What did you do?????

I've never met any Dis'ers but hope to meet a lot of you in the future. I did however see a couple of Dis'ers in MGM Studios this past August with hot pink tee shirts on that read "Cruise Dis'er" or "Dis Cruisers" on the back of the shirt. I would have stopped but I was getting DD a slushie and had my hands full.

I am planning to meet DebT and her friend Connie at the restaurant they works at someday soon! Hi DebT are you back to work yet?

I met lots of nice Disers at the NJ meet this past June.

When we made our first trip to WDW it coincided with my friend Dixie Dreamer's. She convinced me to go to a DIS meet / character breakfast and we had a great time!

We also met up with fellow DIS'ers on our cruise. It was great to see some familiar faces during our week on board!

I haven't met any yet, but I'm going in two weeks, so maybe then. I've never even seen another green ribbon. I'll be wearing mine though, and have green scruchies in my hair (scarcely dignified, I know, but hey, it's Disney!).

I met something like 30 or so at our last Boston DIS meet.

But the best answer to this question for me is that the DIS served to reunite me with a very close friend of mine that I hadn't seen since - get this, 4th grade.

I also have met what I now consider very good friends on the DIS. Its a great place.

Met one DISer while getting off of the Norway ride...saw the lime green ribbon! That was in 2000...I was new to the DIS...and unfortunately I don't remember the name.

Met SSB.

Met Tkyes and her DH at Pleasure Island for a night in August 2002 (I think that was the trip!)
