I messed up MDE - Help!!

We rented DVC points for our next trip (Nov. 10-13). My mom made the reservation and linked it to her MDE account. I added myself using my MDE account. Then she added a generic version of my dad (I'll call him "Generic Dad," because he didn't have an MDE account of his own.

He made an account, and linked his ticket to that account (I'll call him "Real Dad"). So now, Real Dad has a ticket but doesn't have a resort reservation and won't be able to book FP+ at the 60 day mark, and Generic Dad has a resort reservation and no ticket.

I need to get Real Dad onto the resort reservation rather than Generic Dad. They have the same name (obviously) but one is linked to an MDE account and the other isn't. How do I go about this? The rental broker said to call MDE to sort it out, but I'm not sure.

FP+ day isn't until next month, but I'd like to not put this off until the last minute.

The easiest way to fix it is just to call. They see tis all the time!!

I had to call Disney to take care of a similar situation. My husband had three profiles and he couldn't book FP+ until it was fixed. It was very stressful because of how quickly the FOP FP are gone.

OP you should call. I vaguely remember something like this happening with my daughter's account, and they fixed it right away.

It's easier if you or your Mother calls Disney as your Dad didn't need his own MDE.

Disney can merge your two Dads together so that the ticket and the resort reservation is linked to him on your Mother's MDE. Otherwise, he has a Ticket but a MagicBand for the resort will not be linked to him.

I had a similar problem with my mom. I called and Disney was able to fix it by merging accounts. Make sure you have all the reservation numbers etc.

I had the exact same thing happen and it was easily fixed with a call. Disney just merged the accounts - it took five minutes.

Mom needs to invite real dad to share plans. That will link them up the same way you're linked.

May I hijack i plane on using my phone in the parks but was seeing about downloading it on to dhs as a backup and logging on as me on his phone is that allowed is MDE even on android

Just call tech support. When I had an issue they fixed it in about 2 minutes and they were very nice about it, it's really not a big deal.

Agreed - just call. We had an issue with my son as a person on my account earlier this year. He was an 'infant' classification on our last trip but now is over 3 and turned into a 'child' for this trip. Well MDE didn't understand that "Infant Son" with the same name and info as "Child Son" was the same person. When I tried to fix it myself on MDE I got some very ominous warning statements about trying to make changes and all the havoc I would cause by doing it . Got fixed up with a phone call in 2 minutes. Apparently that's a very common scenario.

Just call. I had a similar issue recently on my account but it was ME that was somehow in there multiples times, One with my reservation linked and the other with my tickets. I have no idea how it happened because I've only ever had one MDE account, one MDE profile and my package was exactly that, a PACKAGE. They were able to merge the 2 profiles and deleted the random me so hopefully it doesn't happen again in the future

Yes. Totally allowed. DS does not have his own MDE account and I log into mine on his phone (both androids) to have a backup in case somehow both my phone and back up charger both die. This also allows him to see our plans so he's not asking me a bajillion times what we are doing next.

I had fake profiles for my two girls set up because we wanted to Dine with an Imagineer and they were a month shy of 14 years old. I was just able to delete those, but I'm guessing it's because they are minors? I just deleted the fake profiles this week. It kept their real ones.
