I don't know how celebrities manage to make relationships work. Firstly, "it's all about them." Fans adore them, why should the star settle for just one plain, old, boring mate. Not that Penelope fits that bill but there's always other fish in the sea for both of them. Who needs to stick around and work on a relationship when the easy thing to do is start anew. All the newness & excitement can be irresistible.

Secondly, if stars do foreign movie shoots that take them away from home and put them in the arms of another glamorus movie star, what relationship can survive that. (I'm thinking Meg Ryan here but there's lots more like that).
