Nice, Barry! We were watching an interesting show yesterday on the Travel Channel that talked about all kinds of amusement park rides, specifically roller coasters.

We were waiting to see if they mentioned Dorney Park in my hometown of Allentown, PA. But they didn't. Have you ever been there?

My brother (passed away last year) used to be an electrician for the rides and coasters at Dorney and then at Six Flags in Baltimore.

I forget what park it was, but they talked about a roller coaster that some furniture maker refurbished and it only hits a top speed of about 10MPH. Some of the teenagers thought it was slow and boring, but others liked the nostalgic quality of it.

Know which one they were talking about?

Yeah, but you have Harry <b>Hom</b>'s signatute. This article is quoting some guy name Barry <b>Hon</b>. Maybe it's his evil twin? Barry just thinks it was him?

have you ever ridden the coasters at Knoebels in PA..

I've been to Dorney Park and Six Flags America, two parks I didn't think much of. :(

that is so cool, barry. my dh and i rode to a park just to ride a rollercoaster once but it was right in our home town...KENNYWOOD, in PITTSBURGH,PA. I cant imagine you riding long distances to ride a coaster. have you ever riden the the steel phantom? it is now the phantoms revenge and in my opinion, not as thrilling as the original...i know you like wooden coasters we have the thunderbolt, but so far my favorite is at six flags ohio..called the villian...congrats on the 15 min of fame....

Cool, Barry! You must have luck just like mine--if my name ever gets in print, I'm sure they will misspell my name. :teeth:

I still recognized you....misspelled or not!!

Congrats Barry! :D

Great article, Barry...:D
