My husband, my in-laws, and I just got back from our trip to WDW last night, but I wanted to share this funny and memorable story with everyone. We were walking around Epcot and decided to go into the Toy Soldier, which is the toy store in England. The back of the store was roped off, but I could not figure out why. As I was looking at some books, my husband told me to turn around. Tigger had slid across the floor. If anyone is looking for Pooh or Tigger, this is a great place to find them with hardly any crowds. We had been at the tent in Toontown earlier in the day and there was a long wait for Tigger so I decided to wait and look for Tigger in another park.

Tigger is my favorite Disney character (my screen name "TiggerDaisy" is the combination of two of my favorite things -- Tigger and my siamese mix cat, Daisy) and I really wanted to have my picture taken with him. I had no idea that Tigger was in the toy store in England. I immediately rushed to have my photo taken with him. I wore my Tigger t-shirt and my Tigger fanny pack that day. When I went up to meet Tigger and Pooh, Tigger instantly came over to me. He gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. In one of the photos, which I used the Disney Photo Pass, Tigger is giving the thumbs up because I was wearing my Tigger gear. While Tigger was giving me the hug and the kiss, poor Pooh ran to the other side of the room, stood in the corner, and had his hands over his face. My husband told me that I made Pooh cry. A minute or so later, Pooh ended up coming back over to me and gave me a kiss on the cheek and a hug also.

In another one of the pictures, Pooh and Tigger have their hands over their mouths like they are laughing. I had to order that one. Please let me know if anyone else has any funny character interaction stories. It was one of the most memorable moments of my trip. :flower:

When we last went to WDW, my son was 5. He's quite a character himself (and now he's 7). I call him "intense." pirate:

He got his face painted with these (kind of evil looking) red and black flaming stripes kind of thing at MGM. Being 5, he loved it when, after he waited in line to see Pinocchio, Pinocchio "gasped" at seeing Stony (my son), clasped his hands tightly over his eyes, and jumped back. He kept cowering further and further as Stony neared. They finally made up when Pinocchio got his "courage" back but my son got such a kick out of the response Pinocchio gave to his face painting.

That is so cute. I just love it when the charectors really get into the act.

Last year at Chef Mickey's I went to get Goofy's autograph and handed him my pen that had minnie dangling from it. Goofy was not happy. He held up my pin, crossed his arms and just sat there shaking his head. It was so cute.

In MGM I met Jafar last year. After waiting in a pretty long line, I got to him and handed him my autograph book. I wanted him to sign next to Alladin. He flat our refused. Got all into charector and stood there shaking his head and twirling his beard. I finally changed the page and just by change handed it to him right next to Genie! After more head shaking, he finally gave me the book back, crossed his arms and stood there for a few minutes. I felt so bad holding up the line, but everyone was laughing and seemed to be enjoying the show. After some begging and some "you are the best villan ever"'s i finally got my autograph.

I made Jesse cry when I sang "When Somebody Loved Me" to her as she was signing DD's autograph book. She kept wiping her eyes and hugging me. DD, of course, was mortified at the time, LOL, but now we laugh at the memory of it.

I've also seen Pooh in the back store in England. DD was wearing a Pooh shirt so he was very happy. :goodvibes We've also seen Mary Poppins back there and got some great shots with her since we had her practically to ourselves.

I made Eeyore cry when he tried to squeeze into a hunny pot with me at Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. I tried to explain that there wouldn't be room for the two of us..... :teeth:

at Chef Mickeys a Month after i got engaged: I was having breakfast with my Fiance' and My Grandmother for her birthday and Mickey had come over now When im sitting at a table when wereing my flip flops i slip my shoes off to tuck my feet underneith me im kinda short and cant reach the table anyway--- I stood up for a picture with my two main men mickey and my fiance and mickey noticed the size difference and my ring and made such a big deal of it than he saw that i forgot to slip my shoes back on and he made a big deal about my shoes it was so funny about the best charicter interaction i have ever had.

I was on a solo trip and my youngest DD had made Mickey a card for me to deliver. Toontown was my first stop and I explained to Mickey the situation and he made such a big scene, hugging the card, etc. We posed for the photo, both holding it and I bought that one for DD.

Last Nov we were there for my 40th on the 16th (the day Stitch trashed the castle), so DDs were wearing Stitch ears, shirts, and holding stuffed Stitches when we lined up at MGM to see him and Lilo. He made SUCH a huge deal about all their Stitch stuff and Lilo kept doing the "he's crazy" with her finger by her head. He was jumping all over them, smooshing them and all. It was sooooo sweet!

The best by far, though, was when we were at 1900 Park Faire in 2003, DDs met the Fairy Godmother and got her autograph. One of my DDs has Asperger's and is very shy, but she was really into the FGM. We were back in Jan and stopped for the 3 o'clock parade and JUST as the FGM came by and started the script, "I know you...", she pointed RIGHT at my DD, winked and waved. I was BAWLING my eyes out as DD looked up wide-eyed and said, "Mom, she *remembered* me from dinner last year!"

I've got two, both from MGM. I had a Chip and Dale pin on my hat. Well, Chip saw it and went nuts (no pun intended). He grabbed my head and pulled me over to Dale by my hat just to show him what I had on. I ended up losing the pin on a ride, that stunk.

My other story comes from Star Wars weekend. I got into a tussle with Darth Vader (all in good fun). When my turn came up in line, I stepped right up to the dark lord of the Sith. We got into a staring contest. Everyone in the hall was "oohing" and "aahing". We really were making the most of it. I handed my book to Vader, and he saw Anakin Skywalker's signature. He threw the book down on the ground, and then things got really tense. I told him to pick up the book. My wife and the photo pass guy got some great pictures of the two of us. Neither of us would budge.

Then my wife got in the pictures and laughed right in his face. We almost felt the wrath of the Dark Side of the Force that day I can tell you.

Darth Maul made me get on my knees because I stood about a foot taller than him.

When I was at WDW for my 40th B-day, we ate at the Garden Grill in the Land at EPCOT. For some reason, Pluto would not leave me and my sister alone. Weird. Here we were, a party of 3 adults, and we had Pluto all to ourselves. Pluto even "spoke" to us. He went nose to nose with my sister, held that pose for about a minute, then barked at her. I didn't know Pluto could "speak". :)

Here's a picture of me with Pluto during the same trip. Pluto is my DS's favorite.

My parents and I went to Cape May's for breakfest. It just happened to be the last day of our trip. We were having breakfest and then heading home. Well I love Goofy. Always have always will. So he comes strolling over and me this big bad 16 yr old (at the time) gets all excited. I give him a big hug get a kiss tell him he's my favorite. My mom tells him it's out last day and he gets sad.

Well he does the coolest thing any character has ever done for me. He walks over to the spot next to me (which is empty). Reachs for the caryons that were sitting on the table and leans down to write something on the paper table cloth. He writes in big bold blue letters. "I love you Tara." I would be Tara. :earboy2: I was so happy over that it was nuts. I couldn't figuer out how he knew my name until I realized my lanyard was sitting on the same spot which had me name tag on it.

Needless to say it made my whole day. I tore off the part of the table cloth he wrote on and even still have it.

I have many!!

From the last trip, I was at EPCOT and saw Donald Duck! in front of the Leave a Legacy tiles. It was so cool. Well I had my Pal Mickey. Donald saw it and took it from me and gave it to the Photo Pass photographer. He wouldn't take a picture with Mickey. So cute........ ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo

Tiggerdaisy I think that you will find that the shop was in the United Kingdom,as a Scot there is nothing worse than being called English!! :goodvibes
We have loads of good memories,I always think that it's great when the characters act up but the 2 stand outs were: MGM- DS (4 at the time) Buzz & Woody all to himself,we had all got stuck inside Guest Relations, during a downpour. They played with him until the rain stopped, made his holiday! & US- Crash Bandicoot with a megaphone, asking his name (Connor) & doing the whole "John Connor" Terminator thing, with accompaning music!

My favorite one was of my DD last year. After the Princess Breakfast at Norway, my DD7 & ! toured the countries with her Passport while DD4 & DH decided to spend the day at the Poly pool - at the French Pavilion Belle (the same as at the breakfast) was outside with Beast. We stood in line for 3 minutes and when we got to Belle, she said to my DD "I remember you from the breakfast, where's your sister?" and then tells the Beast that she had breakfast with DD & her sister and how she loved their dresses - I had dressed them in identical dresses but not princess costumes. WELL, my DD still talks about how Belle remembered her.

TiggerDaisy - we saw Pooh & Tigger at the Toy Store as well, it was so nice because my DD was getting upset that she hadn't seen them at the other parks.

I've got several. Last January we went to Chef Mickey's our first night for dinner. My 8 y/o GD walked up to Donald to get his autograph. He took her book then kept pointing to himself and raising one finger high. My son finally told my GD that he wanted her say he was #1. Well Donald picked the perfect person, because my GD doesn't have a shy bone in her body and usually says exactly what's on her mind. My GD gasped and said 'no way, this is Mickey's place, he's #1". It was the moment Donald had apparently been waiting for. He threw one of his royal temper tantrums. He then picked up her autograph book where he had thrown it on the floor and signed it 'Donald #1'. My GD put both hands on her hips, tapped her foot, then shook her finger at him saying 'Mickey's gonna get you'. Donald then stopped her in mid tirade by taking her hand and kissing it. Everyone around there was rolling with laughter. I don't know which was funnier seeing Donald's temper tantrum, seeing him getting chewed out by an 8 y/o, or the look of speechless shock on my normally very vocal GD as he kissed her hand.

We had breakfast at CRT also in January. Later during the parade the Fairy Godmother somehow saw my GD in the crowd. She acted all excited and yelled out "Princess Aubriee, so good to see you'. Everyone around there wanted to know how she knew my GD's name. My GD said 'because she's the Fairy Godmother, she knows everything'. I'm sure she probably only remembered her name because it's unusual, but it sure made my GD's day.

This past Sept I was there with my son and D-I-L and my D-I-L wanted a picture with Belle and Beast. After the picture she then asked the Beast if she could get a picture dancing with just him. Belle tapped her on the shoulder and said 'excuse me, but he's my Beast, I'm the one you should be asking'. We looked at the Beast who managed to look very embarrassed with his hands behind his back, shuffling his feet, and looking down at the ground, shrugging his feet. My D-I-L then laughed and asked Belle's permission to dance with 'her Beast'. Belle graciously agreed and we got a cute picture of my D-I-L dancing with the Beast. I swear that big fella looked totally hen picked. There was not a line by the way, so they had time to interact quite a bit.

A few days later we were sitting waiting for the parade at MGM. My D-I-L had wanted to borrow my pink Crocs, so I was wearing her bright yellow ones. When Pinochio came by he noticed my bright yellow crocs, stopped, started pointing at them, then to his outfit showing me that they matched. He then pointed to his own shoes and acted like he was going to take them off to trade. I shook my head no, but he just kept insisting, finally bending down and trying to get my shoes off my feet. He finally got one off and we started playing a little tug of war with it. I was thinking 'geesh the parade is leaving you buddy, you better leave me alone and go'. He finally acted like I hurt his feeling because I wouldn't give him my shoes and stalked off. Everyone around there was laughing and my D-I-L said that if only she had worn her own shoes that day, Pinochio would have tried to steal them from her.

I've got a few, the first one is in my signature. We got to toon town as it opened and Mickey Mouse came out and walked arm in arm into the Judge's Tent. Once in there he see the autograph card I had made and hugged it, pointed at me and then my daughter and hugged it again. My daughter loved it!

A few years ago, we were in line to see Snow White in Epcot. My daughter went up to her and told her she loved her movie. Snow White said, "no one has ever told me that before!" She gave my daughter a kiss and a hug and said she was a very special girl :goodvibes

We met up with Gov. Ratcliffe in the courtyard in 2003. My kids went up and gave him their autograph books. He decided he was going to keep the pens, it took awhile to get them back. Then when we took the picture he pulled out his cape and covered my youngest kids up leaving my oldest boy in the back, lol. I had beg and plead for him to bring back my other kids, lol.

Going into see Jessie and Woody in MK. We gave Jessie her card and she signed it. Then she looked at us and covered her mouth like she was laughing. So, we got the card for Woody to sign (it was on the back on her card) and she had signed Woody's card too. So, now Woody is pointing at her and then pointing at the card and tapping his foot, so then he signs his card and her card, lol.

The first time we went DD was only four and was having one of her fed up moments because i wanted to go into a shop. While i was in there she started to cry the white rabbit came over to her took her hand and walked off with her need less to say when she came back she had a huge grin from ear to ear!!!!

Many years ago at the Soundstage lunch in MGM, Jafar was walking around. He came over to our table and seemed to be hovering over my sister for a while. I noticed and said casually that he could take her if he wanted. HE seemed to ponder the proposal and then started to walk away. However he grabbed the back of her chair at the same time and was dragging her with him. The rest of the family was a little shocked at first but didn't last too long before we were all chuckling. Needless to say, she didn't quite appreciate me doing that and still glares at me when we bring it up.

Shame on your for making Pooh cry.He is a tender soul you know ;)

Seriously, I loved your story.......we have huge Pooh fans. My DH loves Tigger, and I love, well............I'll let you guess,LOL.

I've loved reading your stories!

I'm still a kid when it comes to the characters, particularly Mickey. One year before we had kids we were chosen to be the first people into Breakfastasaurus-- it's sort of like opening the park, but we were opening the restaurant! We actually had no idea what was going on, we just thought we were getting walked back all by ourselves because we had an early seating time. The CM who walked with us was very sweet and encouraged us to take pictures in the empty AK. When we got to the restaurant the CM made a point of asking us our names and the correct spelling, but again we didn't think anything of it-- there was a photographer outside taking pics like they do at Chef Mickey's, so we thought it was for that photo. But when we walked into the restaurant MICKEY WAS THERE!!! I about had a heart attack. I grabbed my camera and thrust it at DH so he could take my picture with my true love. Then I realized I needed to change the film and was freaking out because I was afraid Mickey was going to leave before I got it done. Finally I was able to go up to Mickey and get my picture taken, then our lovely CM offered to take a picture of the two of us with Mickey. While we were posing for that photo, Donald showed up!! Then Pluto! And we were posing for another picture when Goofy RUNS through the frame!!! We were in hogs heaven! We are just glowing in those pictures; I don't think I have ever seen DH smile like that before or since. It was wonderful. When they gave us a "magical moment" certificate signed by all of the characters, we finally caught on that they had planned that special moment for us. To this day it's my favorite memory at WDW.

Thank you Mickey!!

One trip when my DS was 7 or 8 he wasn't feeling well and taking it very slow. My DS is an aspergers kid and was clutching his stuffed penuguin, pengy, all day. Well, we got off the train in Toon Town in the MK and who was there but one of Mary Poppins penguins! That penguin got SOOOO excited to see DS carrying a stuffed penguin - I mean really, how often do you think they see that? :) It really perked my DS up to see the penguin and how excited it was. It got some very cute pictures from that. :) One of my my most favorite Disney memories....
