I made my Memorial Day vacation reservations (pictures)

DH and I are having an itch to travel so we decided to make reservations for the four-day Memorial Day weekend. We are going to Chiemsee, Germany with a side trip to Salzburg, Austria. I know it isn't Disney, but it is the next best thing. We are very fortunate that the military has an Armed Forces Recreation Facility that we can stay at....here are some pics of the resort.

Now we have to decide whether or not to go on the Sound of Music tour or the City tour of Salzburg! Has anyone been, can anyone comment on one or the other?

Oh my God, the pictures are soooooo lovely! What a wonderful little vacation this will be for you. Is your DS going too?

Tough call on the tours you mentioned, but personally, I think I'd pick The Sound of Music Tour. The movie background was just so breathtaking!

Or you can flip a coin!

It looks so peaceful and relaxing! I would take the Sound of Music tour--it would probably be quite interesting. Enjoy your trip!

My father and mother toured the city of Salzburg many years ago. You see Motzarts birthplace and some of the places that were in "The Sound of Music." It's a gorgeous city. I'm guessing you won't go wrong with either tour.

The decision on which tour is hard because I love Sound of Music, but I have to consider the two other parties when making the decision.
