Well it took me about 1 hour on the phone but it's done. Whew! Another thing I can check off my planning list. :yay:

A couple of things though and then I will post my ARR list.

1) I knew I had to present a credit card to hold two of ressie (CRT and Hoop De Doo) but thought that was it - just to hold it. However the CM this morning said now its completely pay up front for both. My credit card will be charged effective immediately for $169.52 CRT and $239.95 HDD and there is no refund for either even if I cancel within 48 hrs as is their policy. WOW!
Well, I won't complain as I got both days and times I needed and the family really wanted these two. They are new for us.

2) The CM also told me there is a special hold on Hoop De Doo at present until sometime in August. CM's are instructed to make reservations and accept complete payment BUT I am to call back in August to "verify that there is still a Hoop De Doo dinner show"???
Well I can't imagine they would get rid of it as it's very popular but that is the way the CM put it. She said if they do cancel it I will at that time get a full refund. The only refund they offer. I won't however get a refund if I cancel at any time.

3) Also the CM said there are complete holds on Yak & Yeti and Planet Hollywood. I could not make resevations for either of these places today. CM said her instructions for these two dining establishments were to have quests call back in August to see what is going on with them both.

Anyway, thought everyone would want to know. Has anyone else had problems today or in the last few weeks with the above mentioned places?

Now for my confirmed ADR list:

How did I do? In August I still may try for Yak & Yeti and/or Planet Hollywood but have yet to decide. It looks good to me right now, so may just keep what I have.

Thanks by the way for all the encouragement and advice. It helped. :thanks:
You are the best and I am so glad I happened along this site. :disrocks:

Your ADR's look great!! We'll be there at the same time....don't forget to say "hi," lol.

Those look really great! We'll be at CRT the same morning (8:10 AM).

That looks great!

I just had to say I usually don't read when people post their ADRs but I had to look at yours because I loved your "looky looky!"

Have a wonderful time!!!!:)

Wow. I wasn't told either of those things about HDDR. Two of the people in my party will be using dining credits for the show - but I'm still going to be charged on my credit card for their meals? I think that I need to check my credit card statement asap.

I wasn't told about the 'special' hold either.

ADR"s look great. I will be there as well from Jan. 4th til the 10th. The week prior I will be staying at my timeshare and that is when I am doing the HDDR on New Years Day and as long as you cancel prior to the 48 hours you can get your money back.! I think your where given the wrong info unless Im not understanding. Have a great trip! Im staying at CSR for the week.

Thanks for the comments mjpeter, ROEDISNEY, dinah439, disneymyway, & Dolce27!

mjpeter: What days will you be there in January? You never know, we just might pass each other. A Hi would be nice! :)

dianh439: Woohoo! You are only two years older then my DD 22. She will be with us on our trip along with her DH and DS. She's a student as well, goes to UNC. Keep in touch, perhaps there's a way we can buzz by and say Hi that morning at CRT if your up to it. :wave2:

disneymyway: A follow teacher :yay:

Dolce27: Definitely check it out. I certainly hope my CM knew what she was talking about. The holds she said came up on her screen when she logged in the information. If you find out different let me know. :confused3

The two days I question would be Monday and Thursday...especially Thursday.

Putting two or more TS together with less than 7-8 hours between them could be problematic, as you may find that you're just too full from the previous meal to enjoy the next.

On Thursday, you may find yourself spending more time in restaurants and getting to restaurants than enjoying the parks.

Those days where you do breakfast and then a dinner you'll probably be ok.

Hey Brook1099!

Now you have me wondering whether I was given the wrong info this moring? I am calling back tomorrow and seeing if I can book the two the CM today said that I couldn't. I'll see if another CM says the same thing. It will be interesting to find out. I will let everyone jknow.

Also I thought it was strange that I would not get a refund if I canceled HDD within the required period of time. Did not seem right but things are changing at Disney so was not sure. Will ask the CM tomorrow and see what she says.

We will be staying at POFQ this time around. Been there before and liked it a lot. Perhaps we will see each other around Disney that week? It would be nice to say a Hi to a fellow DISer or two or three...

Actually Ill see you at the Crystal Palace on Tues. the 6th. 5:25 My DH DD DS SIL and BF. Isnt that funny.

Hi msmayor :mickeyjum

We have done our meal schedules like this before and it really does turn out fine for us. Lunch is always a lighter meal for my family even at a TS and I always try and schedule the meal times at least 4-5 hrs apart if possible. Believe me, my family never complains.

Breakfast on Monday will be a light food court grab and go so Thursday is really are only full day and we have done it like this before. We never eat huge at any meal but do enjoy the everyone sit down and relax aspect of a TS. Also we have never missed out on any attraction we have wanted to see nor felt rushed in any way. I guess we are lucky in the respect and plan our days well which I think that is the key.

Thanks for sharing the advice though, its what makes this board special. Everyone is so great! I love the DIS! I am truly hooked.

I even have my daughter now asking me when she calls " Mom, are you DISing again? :rotfl2:

Disney is in the process of replacing the 180 day ADR policy to a 90 day policy. Is it possible that they are doing this gradually with a few restaurants at a time? That could explain why you couldn't book Y & Y or Planet Hollywood yet.

I get to call in a few more days. I sure hope we can book Y & Y. We really want to try it and don't see too many more realistic options for lunch on our AK day.

Oh well then its set :thumbsup2 We will definitely have to say Hello! I will be there with my DH, DD, DSIL and 21 month old DGS. His 1st time ever to Disney World! How exciting is that!! :)

Thank you for sharing! We call on the 16th! the day it is rumoured they are not to be accepting 180 ADR!!!! :scared1:

I like your choices. Whenever I see someone elses plan I rethink mine in my head.
Yikes I think I have some moving around to do! :sad2:

It could also be with Pleasure Island closing maybe they are planning some construction around PH in the future months? :confused3

Yeah but that doesn't explain Y & Y.

Oh really? I didn't know that was the rumour. We can make our first ADRs on the 16th as well. Does that mean you're checking in on January 12th like us? Where are you staying?

Good choices, good luck on Hoop Dee Doo

Unless things have changed, Planet Hollywood isn't an ADR restaurant; when we were there last they only took walkups, just like ESPN Club.

Perhaps both of you are right. ? Hopefully I will know somewthing more tomorrow when I call again. I will let you all know.

As far as Planet Hollywood being a non-ADR restaraunt. I thought so too however CM said today they can take ADR's for certain non-peak times of the year. We are going the second of January so she said I could have made a ressie today if they hadn't put a hold on it.
