I made $50.00!!!

I am on summer break and have some free time. After reading the posts regarding eBay, I decided to try to sell 1 item. I have a space twin size duvet from the Pottery Barn that was just sitting in my closet. The auction closed today and I sold it for $53.20. Yes, you read that right - $53.20. I would have gotten maybe $4.00 for it at my rummage sale. Can someone tell me what else sells well on eBay? It was so easy too!!!!

YAY for your first success!! I've found that people will buy anything, and I used to be surprised at the prices they'd pay. I sell a lot of kids' stuff, cds, books, and my now too-big clothing with good results. If you have something you're thinking about selling, you can always do a search to see what amount others' have received for a similar item.

I've bought books, videos/dvds, diaper bags & kids clothes. This would be a good time to sell kids clothes, lots of moms looking for back to school bargains .

I've found that for the most part things that were pretty expensive to begin with sell very well...sometimes even more than what you would pay for it at a store! (newish computers, ipods, digital cameras, etc.) But, it seems that things like clothes don't do as well, possibly because there are sooooooo many clothes on there.

That said...

I sell photography, and old books on ebay...in bundles..as well as just "stuff" any "stuff" we have around. I agree with the poster that said that people will buy anything. Whats that saying "One persons junk is anothers treasure" lol its true.
