Yall miss me?

Anyway, my trip to Disney & Unversal Studios was just awsome. The first day we went to Animal Kingdom. Nothing real exciting. My mom and I skipped the rapids ride as usual, and I didn't want to go on Everest. So we basically only went on the Safari, and walked the trails, (and ate at the flametree :teeth: ), and went home. It was enough for us though. After getting up at five-thirty in the morning, then driving for three hours, and walking around the park all day, we didn't want to do anything else. We were going to go to downtown Disney, but we were sitting in the hotel room, and both agreed that we were too tired to drag ourselves there.

So the next day we woke up at 7am and headed on over to the contemporary for breakfast. We ate at that Chef Mickey thing they have. I wasn't a real big fan of the food, but the atmosphere was cool. Some kid ran into either chip or dale, and the poor guy in the suit slammed chest first into the corner of a table, HARD. They finished up that table, and headed off. We left when Mickey walked by and all that mumbo jumbo. So we went over to Epcot and did all that. It was extra magic hours, so we went back to the hotel for a while, and came back later, then did it all again. I got to get a couple of Conga drinks while we were there. :cool2: The only problem of the day was while we were waiting in line to go on Soarin' for a second time, we ended up behind the most negative woman I've ever seen in my entire history at Disney. She kept complaining how crowded it was, and how she didn't see the magic in anything. She also hated the ride, go figure.

The next day we slept in until 8, and headed on over to Unversal Studios. Now this was the most fun day out of them all. Probably because it was Mardi Grah. :smokin: So they had a bunch of stuff up. We did the usual things my mom and I do when we were there. We skipped the mummy though, (an indoor rollercoaster similar to RNR). Later that night, we were walking around their simulated french quarters, which was cool because some of the girls were in costume in skirts that, it was simply an overstatement to call those washcloths clothes. :smokin: We hung out for the Mardi Grah parade, and ended up letting a bunch of little kids infront of us. (parades are for little kids there age anyway). Also they were throwing beads off of the floats, and any we caught we gave to them, except for a few strings. After the parade, Kid Rock.

The concert deserves it's own paragraph. He came on, played Bawitaba or however you spell it. We got about halfway to the stage, and thats when the little stream of people we were following stopped moving. He played a few songs, and got really p.o.ed at some dude. All I know is I saw him yell, "take his f'ing camera you idiot!". There was this guy standing next to us just drunk out of his mind, who was funny to listen to. During a few songs Kid Rock had some Pole Dancers come out. :smokin: He played some Tributes to Lynyrd Skynyrd, and another song was dedicated to musical greats who have passed on, which was cool. The most amazing thing about the concert was when he first tore it up on the turntables, went over, borrowed a guitar, and tore that up, then went up to the drummer, and started banging away on those, then he went over to the keyboard, and just shed that thing up, then whipped out a banjo and played that. I was amazed that he could play all of those as well as he did. We left during his last song, and that was our day at Universal.

The next day we woke up still sore from the concert, and dragged ourselves to Magic Kingdom. We skipped a lot, seeing as it was Extra Magic Hours there as well, and the park was open until 3am. We did all of your usual stuff. We had a great captain for the Jungle Cruise. Remember kids, if you want to pilot those boats, go to college for 5 years, and earn 2 degrees. We finally left at about 1am, because my mom's acid reflux was killing her.

We planned to sleep in until about 10am, but my mom being my mom, woke up at 7, and in the process woke me up. We left the hotel at around 10:30, and headed on over to Downtown Disney for Lunch. We ate there, and stopped in the Virgin Records store, where I bought a book and a few CDs.

And that was my Disney/Universal trip....
