Our plans to actually GO to Disney got scrapped, but we still ended up staying at the CSR on 12/26 and 12/27, as I had already paid for the rooms and wasn't giving in on my plan to stay in the Disney resort.

Check in was a breeze, there was virtually no line. I think we checked in something like 1:30 pm or 2:00 pm. We got not 1 but 4 free vouchers for miniature golf. We didn't end up having time to use them so I don't know if we'd be able to use them when we go back in August. (anyone with that info, a response would be great!).

I wasn't sure what we would end up with, since I had only booked a standard room. We got a room in the Casitas 1 Building overlooking the courtyard and lagoon areas, which was nice. I am not sure what I expected, but when we walked in and I saw only one bed in what I thought was our room, I thought we were doomed. I quickly realized that what we actually had was a 2 room suite, with a king bed on one side with its own TV and bathroom, and the pull down Murphy bed with the sitting area, TV and bathroom on the other. That was a great and pleasant surprise. We also had a mini fridge, which came in real handy for snacks and stuff, since my H is diabetic.

We really enjoyed the lagoon area, the pool was open and daughter loved that. H and I took a nice long walk around the lagoon one evening, it was quiet and a very romantic stroll for us, away from my MIL and daughter for a bit.

We bought breakfast from Cafe Rix, which I thought were decent. We did not try the Pepper Market Cafe, nor the Maya Grill, as our other meals were spent eating outside of the hotel.

We are planning a trip back in August, as I am in a wedding for a friend of mine who's getting married in Mount Dora. We want to come to Orlando and stay in the Disney area again for 3 days beforehand and then go up to Mount Dora for the wedding.

I would DEFINTELY stay at CSR again for sure.

Welcome back! Thanks for posting. Glad you had a nice stay and lucky you get to go back in August!!!!

Great to read another awesome review on CSR! It's my favorite resort.

Me too! We went in our 2006 trip and we loved it !! Because it big it had like 6 pools. But if you don't like walking around so much then I don't suggest it.Because it is HUGE but it is a very good resort. :)

I tell everyone to just try CSR and they probably won't be disappointed. I love it so much that my last trip I was in deep depression since I had a split stay and had to move to POR. We won't stay anywhere else this next trip..I will be booking later next week and if it is {GASP} booked then we won't go.
Thanks for your review of CSR :)

Same for my family. I can't get them to try any other resort. I have a few I want to try...POFQ, AKL and WL.

CSR only has a main pool and three quiet pools. I believe CBR has seven pools though.
