I love the ocean because whenever I am there at the jersey shore I feel like everyone I have ever loved put their feet in that ocean (except my pets of course) but everyone else. When I step into that ocean I feel like all of those people are with me, even if they are no longer alive, or even if they are no longer a part of my life. I love the ocean because I feel peace. The waves go in and out, out and in. They don't malfunction. I never hear "server is busy at the moment" when I'm listening to the ocean. It just . . . happens.

I agree with what Binkrin said, that is a really beautiful thought. I go to the Jersey shore all summer and it does remind me of my youth and all the loved ones that are still with me and some that are not. I lost one of my favorite Uncles last year, his name was Uncle Pete, but we called him Uncle Hoagie, cos everytime we went to visit him in Point Pleasant, he went out and got "hoagies" for us. Great memories!
