Specifically, finding bargains at Target.

This morning, I ran into Target to find a Tiara (for a birthday party at my store), and cake mix. I went to the toy department first to find a princess type crown and struck out.

My usual MO is to walk the interior aisles (where you see the inner endcaps), because that's where all the good, clearance stuff is.

I hit paydirt. At the bottom of one of those clearance endcaps was an Eddie Bauer 8 man tent-for 45 bucks!!!! It was originally 180, so I'm doing the   right now. If only it wasn't raining, that bad boy would be up in the back yard now.

My boys joined Cub Scouts and we've got at least 4 camping trips on the calendar. Yay for me! Been hoping and scoping for about 4 or 5 years-guess the Cub Scout thing tipped the karma my way.

Now I don't have to go camping in DH's 40 year old, non waterproofed tent that looks like it was used on the set of MASH!

Lauri and I always hit the perimeters for sales too. We lucked out last year. We were starting to do craft fairs and for the outdoor ones we needed a canopy. They were pretty pricey and Lauri was getting stressed out about the cost of one eating into the profits. Well, she was over at Target the next day to get some dog stuff and low and behold, on one of the endcaps - a canopy marked down to $20!

Yeah - they had these great rolling duffels marked waaay down. I didn't dare buy any more luggage, so I passed, but what a deal!

My best target clearance buy was a ceiling fan in with brightly colored blades for my son's room...it was $6.00!
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Great bargains!

The only thing I don't like about Target is they aren't closer to me!

Ok, well, it's more like an addict.

Favorite recent Target clearance end-cap purchase: a red Melita One:One coffee maker (makes one cup at a time) for about $8. I brought it into the office and can now have drinkable coffee anytime I want at work (the coffee in the break room is just colored sludge, I think).

Suzanne - Do you have a Beetle? I've got a dark blue turbo Beetle (Gus-Gus). The boy(friend) won't let me put any flowers in the vase - I might "borrow" your idea of an "antenna ball bouquet". Love it! SO cute! :)

You knoe Target also sales xx and xxx large sleevless shirts  , and cantw8 loves there paper plates

I have 4 canopies in my garage for DSs graduation. I bought them a couple of years ago at 90% off. Of course he was in the 7th grade when I bought them, but at that price I KNEW I would need them and kick myself for not buying them. Every year DH asks what I plan to do with them, and I keep telling him he will thank me when the time comes! I now only have 3 more years!!

Ali, I do have a beetle :teeth: I got the idea of a topper bouquet while waiting for the dealer to do all the paperwork, lol. Due for a change soon.

I was just at Tarjay today. I'm addicted to the BUCK bins. *grin* And now they've added the $2.50 stuff too! The little orange sticker is my friend. Today, my boyfriend stalked me thru the sock isle and stole my cart, I guess they caught it on the security cam, because as I was approaching him, so was a security guard. *grin* I asked him, "Can I have control of the cart please?" and the security guy went away.. POOF! I think he thought my guy was stealing my purse!

I did walk out with some VERY cute socks!

For my DD11's bday back in June I found the Eeyore's Cuties comforter and accessories on clearance at Target. We got the comforter, Eeyore squishy pillow, and fluffy blanket for under $40.00!

If you pay for the car then you have every right to put flowers in it.

I have two targets close to me and for some reason they each have different stuff on clearance. I wonder why they aren't more uniform?

We have a brand new Target opening 5 minutes from my house, I've never even shopped at one before!

So, will I like it? And what are these orange and green stickers all about and endcaps?

I am SO ready to say goodbye to the local Walmart, can't even get down the aisles anymore with all the junk.

That's a great find! We got an Eddie Bauer gazebo at Target once for $25, originally around $150. I love that store!
