We eat at Kona at least twice every trip. We love breakfast and dinner there. The teryiaki steak is awesome and my DH and DS love the sticky wings. LOVE IT!!

We first went to Kona in 2002 and i was seriously underwhelmed. The lunch I had was mediocre and the Tonga Toast was to sweet for me.

In 2007 we were desperate for something that wasn't hamburgers, fried, or breaded. LOL! Plus I wanted some place not in the parks for lunch so we headed to Kona Cafe - OH MY GOD! Probably the best meal I ate the entire 10 days we were there. The food was delicious - I scarffed it down. Very yummy.

Not sure if we will make it back this trip

I voted no. I don't hate Kona, but when we went in 2007 I was not impressed. I ordered the Mahi Mahi, and that was pretty good. But everything else was not so good. My DH had the Terriyaki Steak, and I forget what my DS had, but I remember he did not like it. I just thought it was over hyped from what our experience was compared to what the reviews are. Maybe we just had an off night there, but it will probably be some time until we give it another try.

One other thing that I forgot to mention...I did love the press pot coffee, now that was delicious!

I'll admit I've only had breakfast there but it was awesome!!!! I've had better service though if I recall, but who cares about that when the Tonga Toast is amazing!!! *sits dreaming about it for some time*
... and the smoothies are pretty good too!

LOVE the banana creme brulee'. Have had a good experience each time we've gone. Never tried breakfast there, may have to give it a shot!

The food at Kona is pretty good. Our challenge is the unfriendly service. We had breakfast and lunch there in February and at both times, with separate servers, we were treated like they were doing us a favor. The service was not bad, just not what we would usually expect at Disney.

We will give a try again.
