What a game last night - Homecoming - our team versus the arch enemy (a.k.a. Ephrata vs. Quincy). The Battle of the Basin - seriously there has been a trophy for this game that is passed between the towns since 1942!
Anyway - DS15 is on JV - they suit up for all home varsity games. He tells me not to come the game. Too cold, too many people, yada yada yada. So DH and I take DS9 to see Zorro. Show up at the game with 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Score is TIED 14-14! Ephrata scores - but misses the extra point. Quincy gets the ball and makes it down to the 5 yard line. Throws a pass that gets intercepted in the END ZONE! Ephrata runs the ball back to the about the 40 yard line. Then runs the last 30 seconds out on the clock. What a game! This is the first time in 3 years that we've had the trophy back - what a party!
For the record - its Ephrata 39 wins...Quincy 15...
