I love Dolly Parton!!!

Ok, can I just tell you guys how much I adore her? Her presentation of entertainer of the year at the CMAs was just adorable...apparently NY mayor Bloomberg screwed up some country star's names and since the show will be there next year, she told "Mayor Bloomingdale" not to worry about it. She's just so tacky I can't help but like her!

On a side note, them cutting off Kenny Chesney kinda looked bad, even though I know they had to do it.

Dolly Parton is loved around here, as you know. There's nobody quite like her, for sure. My DH has met her several times. He wasn't a fan until he met her at Dollywood. (he works there one day a week in usually as a paramedic).

Oh yes, I know. I grew up with APs for Dollywood nearly every year...I live almost on the TN border so we're in TN all the time anyway...I don't think I appreciated her when I was younger, but I think she is SO funny now...Especially that Larry King interview.

You're in ET...I am SO sad ETSU lost their football program. I had a cousin play there and we went to every game for 4 years. Those were some good times.

Dolly is a sweet person, it's so obvious that she's for real. Well not physically but you know what I mean.

I sort of think that's why I like her-She is 100% honest about things and doesn't care what people think. She admits she's had surgery, wears wigs, etc. and just doesn't care.

I'm closer to Knoxville, but don't tell anyone I am NOT a UT football fan. They'll kick me out of the state!

My sister and BIL went to ETSU. They loved it and still consider Johnson City home. BIL is an athletic trainer so he worked with their football team for years. Very sad to lose the program!

Next time I go visit my grandmother (she lives in Maryville and we always fly into Knoxville when we visit)I'll have to wave from the plane on the way down,Buckalew.

I've always been a fan too. Mom grew up in Maryville, which is spitting distance from Sevierville (where Miss Dolly and we ALWAYS have to refer to her as "Miss Dolly" or we get slapped upside the head )is from.
