Dang, now I’ve got to save some gift cards for the outlet. Anyone see any DCL stuff there?

I saw lots of DCL merchandise! There are two outlets. One is smaller than the other but both are just jam packed with goodies. There is some overlap between what each has but we found unique items in each. My dd's wanted some of the parks dresses. I was only able to find those at the smaller location. Whatever location that was (anyone know the difference??) had lots better clothing options, imo. I bought about 8 pieces of clothing. The dress was maybe $18 but the the tops I bought for myself and my dd's were $3-$5 a piece.

Newbie Question:
I have a new Chase Preferred card and a new Capital One card with the bonus points successfully earned. I want to buy three airline tickets for a family trip next summer. What is the best process for doing so?

I hope this isn't too dumb a question, but as I started looking at potential flights, I realized I didn't know the next steps.

TIA!
I can't help with the Capital One card, but with Chase Preferred you go to the Ultimate Rewards site from your chase account. From there you can check prices on flights and book directly with your points. Also, I would check with other airlines for prices and see if it would be cheaper to transfer your points to an airline like Southwest or United and then book directly with them.

I went and read that blog post....... I want SO MUCH of what I'm seeing:bounce: That citrus merch was on my radar when I saw it full price..... oh well I need to stop looking at that stuff

Thank you!

It seems like booking through the Chase site may be the best/easiest method for those points. however, my (perhaps unecessary) concern is getting the same flight and adjacent seats if I then book the Capital One points separately. I guess I could call the airline or use their site to change seats as needed to get all three of us together?

Thanks again!

I just booked 8 seats using both the Chase portal and Capital One travel credits. I first looked up the seats available and picked which ones I wanted. Booked 5 seats using Chase points in the portal and then went directly to the airline and booked 3 seats paying with my Capital One card. I was then able to use travel eraser to "erase" those tickets from my Capital One card. I am assuming it is a Venture card? Since both ways of booking don't rely on awards seats available you should be able to pick the seats next to each other.

Which airline? Have you looked at buying one ways with using one card for each way? So all 3 getting there using the CSP and all 3 getting home using the Capital one. Not sure if you have enough points for that and I personally don't have experience with the Capital One card.

Thank you! I might look into that option.

I received an offer from Citi Bank with a 60,000 point bonus (equivalent to $750 in travel…or I assume $600 cash back). I think I’ve exhausted Chase for the time being as I don’t want to apply for business cards nor do I want a card with a high annual fee. Thoughts??? Any other information you need from me?

Is this an American airlines offer? Are you ready to start the so-called GrAAvy train?

the SW personal card..... which is the best choice? I'm thinking either the $69 card or the new fancy one...why would the newer one be worth the extra AF?
I like the new one with the $149 fee...you get a $75 travel credit that can be used for Flights or if you pay with points the EBCI fee...in addition you get 4 upgrade at the gate for boarding pass credits

A few quick questions from an overwhelmed newbie:
1) DH has had a SW Premier card with me as unauthorized user for years. AM I able to apply for the SQ card myself and get the bonus, or do we have to close that card for 2 years?

2) DH is a a blogger and we were denied the Chase Ink Preferred ( we have great credit and personal income, also I have a Disney Chase and then he has the SW chase obviously )but he does not make much off the blog, maybe $1000/year) They did say we could appeal and asked us to proof business expenses like office rental/utility bill etc, but he works out of our home so I'm not sure how that works? My DH is not hugely onboard with churning. so hes not going to go to great lengths to get this card. Should we try for a different Chase card? Any suggestions? And any downside to applying right away ( the business card does not count toward the 5/24 right?)

Thanks in advance for your help. The information for a new person starting out is overwhelming!

1- you can apply for your own SW card

2- how did DH apply for the CIP...did he use his name exactly and his SS number as a sole proprietor ...with Chase asking for additional info it sounds like he may have used a different business name. He can reapply for the CIP after 30 days using the correct info

I didn't realize this could be used for EBCI if you booked with points. Thats a game changer.....

I'm not sure if it's an AA offer. Even though I'd be losing out on money, I would take the cash rewards instead. So for $600, a good deal???

Wait...I'm not sure it's actually worth $600. Off to do some additional research.
