I love credit cards so much!

If you buy GCs with the Lowes 30% offer, please share if it works. I have it but not sure if I can use it, because all I really need is GCs (shh don’t tell DH, he was eyeing more Christmas blowups)

I bought gift cards with one of the 10% offers on my Hyatt card and it has already credited. I bought a $50 Lowes store gift card, 2 of $25 gift cards, plus some random items and spent 119. plus change and got 11.91 credited back. I have/had the Staples 30% offer but not a Lowes 30% offer. Hope I get that one.

I was just curious if the staples offer was targeted to staples shoppers. From other’s responses, it seems that is not the case.

I have plenty of Staples stores by me (at least 4 about 15 - 20 minutes away). I have never once used a Chase card there and received both the 10% and 30% offers on my CSP and CSR.

I was debatining the same...

Lastly did staples. I had the 30%+10% on 3 cards. I only want disney at this time so I just did 3 cards for $50 each since they didn't have variable load. He let me do it all in 1 transaction and split pay on all 3 cc, so it triggered $5 back for RMN. Yay for that. Hopefully it tracks fine for chase offers. If not, I will be following up.

@amalone1013 is it you with the gift card spreadsheet?

I'm thinking of going to a Staples tomorrow night to do this with $150 in Disney and splitting pay over CSP and CSR. Curious if the 10% and 30% will stack. The DP on Doc mentioned the higher percentage tracked for Panera even though it was added after a lower percentage offer and they did not stack. I guess worst case scenario is $120 will trigger the 10% and $30 will trigger the 30%. I can always go back and get $100 more to finish off the 30%.

I need plenty of Disney gift cards. I have a trip coming in a few months and have room deposits and dining to pay for!

Yes thats a perfect time. I am looking at 4th of July week for this year. Last year we did the last week of June. It will be hot and humid, but thats good beach weather. Good thing about coastal cities is you get that breeze off the water. Just take a midday break, like at Disney. :)
Maybe we will meet in passing!
If you stay there, eat at California Dreaming. It is technically a chain, but I like the food and more importantly, the view there is lovely. Also do Fleet landing for a waterfront restaurant. 82 queen is great. We LOVE home team bbq...they catered our wedding. Andolinis pizza. Oh man, I am hungry now. :mickeybar
Happy to help!
NOW you have put Charleston on my radar for using my cert lol! Sounds like my kind of place!

Hi my friends, I have missed so much it seems while in WDW and then I got sick, but I'm trying to catch up and want to say I missed you guys while away from here, haha! I was having withdrawals! Thanks for the shout out @SouthFayetteFan, you were one of the first people to help me when I joined, along with my friend @wendow! Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming and not judgemental I just love it.

I'm seeing some discussion on AA and Disney, so going to keep reading more on that, I'm very interested since I upgraded my ticket to an AP.

Anything else I missed? I hope everyone had a great Holiday!

ETA: Oh @SouthFayetteFan , I wanted to tell you we could see the castle from our room at BLT. I paid for Lake View but faxed a request for a room that also had theme park view from touring plans and got one! At first we weren't in our room to catch the fireworks and I was thinking what a waste, but toward then end of our trip we were able to make it work. We watched the fireworks from our balcony after dinner at Chef Mickey's for my DD's birthday and it was amazing! She was so tired and even being as close as we were, we didn't want to trek back to MK and hunt for a spot. SO worth it to have that view! Just thought I'd share!

Welcome back, my friend!!! Been wondering where you were but too busy to send a note asking. Your trip sounds amazing! I love BLT! How neat that you had a fireworks view. We've stayed there three times and never gotten that even though I requested it (now I know to fax through TP's :D ).

Sorry you have been sick. Tis the season, right?? My dd16 was up in the middle of the night throwing up a couple of days before Christmas. I was like, oh no, here it comes. But, fingers crossed, none of the rest of us have caught it. She works at Target and apparently, they had a lot of cashiers get the same bug. Next time she worked, they had box of Emergency-C's in the break room with a note encouraging everyone to drink one

AP, huh?? You go girl!! If my dd gets into the DCP next year, you have to come down when we are there!!!

We are bailing when our 2 years is up in February. Got a letter that directv is going up, but we were planning to cancel anyways. It is kind of scary but we don't watch live tv so I am sure it will be fine.
DS might die without sports. Lol. Every weekend Bears, Packers, Blackhawks and English Premier League soccer. I made sure Hulu had them all. Plus the one or two channels I watch. Direct Tv now and Sling neither had the combo of channels we watch unless I added packages which defeats the purpose of cost cutting.

What is the best way to open a savings account for a minor (DS11) in his name with me as a co-owner? He has several thousand $ in cash at our house. Bonus if he can get an opening account bonus.
Have you checked out Capone360? My DS's first account was with them and it was in his name but we both had access. It was a great first account for him , but I believe it was a checking. This was a few years ago so I'm not sure what they offer currently but might be worth looking into.

I was all set to cut cable next month...then Verizon Fios had a special at Thanksgiving that reduced my monthly to $109 for internet, cable and landline plus they increased my internet speed significantly. Don't really watch anything other than sports, news sometimes and a few Netflix/Amazon shows, but sticking with fios will keep the family happy and I think it is a decent price.

Thank you!! My DD had the best time, especially at BBB and CRT! It was so much fun watching her. We did MVMCP for the first time and loved it!
This was my second time having TP fax a request and I got exactly what I wanted both times. I'm definitely renewing my subscription.
Yes! I would so love to meet up, just let me know when and I'm sure I can make it happen!
I just knew I was going to get sick, everyone on the plane was coughing and sneezing. I hope your DD is feeling better now. :)

Ah, I bet she was so cute! I miss little girls to share those special princess moments with.

Your avatar is so cute! Can't see what your shirts say but love matching shirts...yep, I'm one of those moms lol! I will never believe you have a college age kiddo. No stinking way!

ETA: Yes, thank you, dd is better. It took a few days for her stomach to start accepting food again but today, she was back to normal!

It was the box rentals with fios that did me in. I finally cut the cord this week. Loving YouTube tv because of the unlimited dvr. Only thing I might miss is hgtv. It had a few more sports channels than Hulu live.

So, Barclay Arrival Plus...

I've got a no fee Arrival that is almost 4 years old. It was always the no fee version. Thinking of cancelling it so in the future I could apply for the plus. Is there a timeline to follow, like I need to wait a certain amount of time before I would apply for Arrival Plus?

General timeline I've seen is cancel the no-fee Arrival and wait 4-6 weeks.

Is there a good way to get another Arrival + card without adding an AU for my DH's account? It would help us meet the MSR if we both had cards, but don't want to add me as an AU. Does the same method apply as Chase with adding an AU with a very similar name/birthdate as the cardholder?
