Question for anyone who has an Amex Everyday Preferred. If you do the 30 transactions for 50% more points, when do those usually post?

Me too! At the one in the Big Island. I just booked it for next May.

Which one did you book? We've been to Kings' Land before. Loved it and have plans to go back. Not with the package though, but on exchange with our timeshare.

The Hilton Waikaloa Village. I'm not sure if I got the best deal but it's 5 nights, free car rental, $200 certificate, 15K points for $915. I'll have to listen to the time share presentation but that's ok. I'm pretty good at saying no. LOL! Except the DVC one, I bought that. lol!

Had it on my Hyatt card! $1500 in Disney GCs at a gas station coming up!
I managed to hit the $1500 with soccer registration. Rest of everyday spend is going on Disney card, except gas on Marriott.
In other news, I finished MSR on CitiBiz AA card, only not to have points post. I chatted with Citi and they said there is no offer attached to my account 😡 They asked why I thought there was, I said that is the offer on the page I applied through. How is it possible to not have an offer, going to Citi.com has offers for all apps. They did say they would submit a request to add the bonus offer, but it might take 8 weeks to post, so in the meantime I lost the awards flights I had on hold. ☹️

I need help redeeming a Delta Am Ex companion certificate. So I go into my DL account, select the certificate and put my dates and destination in, it searches and then I receive a message stating "the search you entered may not meet the Terms and Conditions for the certificate your redeeming or the class of service required may not be available". It says to read the T&C and select different dates. I've tried different dates and even went in searched the routes, there are plenty of seats available and I'm only looking for regular economy. Do they only have so many certificate seats available for each flight? I've read the T&C and it seems like I am meeting all the requirements. I can't figure out what the issue it is. Of course, it says I can call them but the last time I had to call the 2 hour return call time turned into 6 hours. Trying to avoid calling to do this. Anyone have any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?

ETA - It looks like maybe originating from my small local airport might be the issue. I was able to find seats booking from Atlanta to phoenix directly but even then, a lot of dates are not available. So maybe the issue is regional airlines that get you to the hubs aren't covered under the T&C's? If that's the case, it seems these certificates would be hard to use if your not near a DL hub, luckily is only about an hour and a half drive for us.

Sadly those darn certs are very restrictive, they are only offered on certain flights, and then only offer limited seats.

Slow Sunday...
I am officially without an MSR, well I believe I hit the BOA Biz MSR but no credit yet. I spent some money at Amazon but it took a few days for it to post to my account. Just waiting now and hope the statement credit comes prior to the due date in June.

Since I am without an MSR, applied for the CIC with DH support link. Had to time this to cover real estate taxes and our Glacier trip. Otherwise I don't know how we would hit the 7,500 MSR. Got the need more time but I anticipated that. UPDATE: as I was typing this got the Mint email and checked - new card in my account!:cool1::cheer2:

And in remembering the good ole days with lower MSRs, our final CIP hit the 1 year anniversary and the AF posted. I SMed to close. I do miss :drinking1

Trip planning
June - Hilton Head. We're driving down, rented a condo (OOP). No big activities planned other than rest, relaxation and time with DGD (18 months).

July - Glacier. I am pretty confident this will happen with all the good news lately. Flights covered by RRs or URs, Hotels covered by FNCs, URs and Cap1 miles. Rental car (OOP); thank goodness I booked that last year before the rates skyrocketed.

September - waffling between Michigan (driving; $) and Yellowstone (flying; $$$).

Need to start on 2022. Tentative Plans
Jan/Feb - Hawaii. AA flights are now 2-3x miles than when I started thinking about this trip a few years ago. We had lie flat seats for Jan 2021 for 135K miles RT and now they are 100K one way. I am just not excited about planning this after cancelling our plans this year. I had everything booked and basically free and now have to start over. I don't know if this is going to happen.

May/June - Florida beach on Gulf side

July/August - Crater Lake and Redwoods

October - New England leaf peeping

We will be there in a couple of weeks using a very similar offer. We did one for a few hundred less with Sheraton in Maui a couple years back. It was a great vacation and the presentation wasn’t brutal. We said no and enjoyed the rest of our stay.

Just figured out why I haven't heard a peep outta Chase on my CIU application ... I froze my credit bureaus.

What do I do now? Unfreeze and call? Which one(s) should I unfreeze?

Thanks ... first app since freezing accounts. Just saw a LifeLock commercial and that reminded me :o

I went to one presentation once, it was brutal too. They had 4 different people talk to me and at the end, they brought in the German closer who was very intimidating. I still said no. I went to a Hyatt one a couple months ago in Sedona and they were very nice. I would actually consider Hyatt but I need to do more research.

Look at them and see which one has the chase hard pulls, then unfreeze that one and call them. Just explain you forgot it was frozen. Not the first person to have done it. :rolleyes1

Instant approval for 200k Surpass offer! I was sitting here fingers crossed that I didn’t get the stupid pop-up. I got lucky! Since I’m now officially 7/24 for the next 6 months I thought it was time to start working on some AMEX cards. The plan is to also get DH another Hilton card with the current elevated offers to set us up for another Grand Wailea trip Oct. ‘22. Hopefully he avoids the pop-up as well.

Will also add that AMEX didn’t do a hard pull. I unfroze Experian just in case. They pulled for my 1st card, but not the last 2. I know this is mostly common knowledge, but wanted to add my DP. 😊

Oh wow! This is interesting. I’ve actually received 2 offers in the mail for this Hyatt Sedona trip, and I have considered it since Sedona is only a 2hr drive for us. Ultimately I end up tossing the offer because I’m afraid of the hard sell part. I’m a bit more intrigued after reading this. Of course now I’ll probably never get the offer again 😂

I highly recommend the property. It's beautiful. The offers are on their website. When we went I actually used points (15K per night in a studio) because I didn't know there was an offer. It's only $299 for 3 nights and 10K Hyatt points! They gave me 10K for listening to the presentation. It was really low pressure.
Edited to add the link to the offer: https://www.hyattresidenceclub.com/booking/view-offers?property=10

Agree you are definitely not the first! I applied for one for DH a while ago, he waited until he got the 'we need more info' letter, unfroze and called the number, and was immediately approved. I think they usually use Experian, he unfroze them all just to be safe.

Thank you both! I even sat here thinking, Chase hasn't even pulled my credit yet SMH

It's been so long since I applied for a Chase card, I think I changed addresses (states), and I think that has a bearing on who gets pulled. Maybe I should just unfreeze them all to be safe

I see they have Key West for $499 for a two bedroom suite. That would be a great price. Might need to snag that one.

I figured it out and booked 2 certificates!!! Took some shuffling of dates but I made it work. Four tickets for the price of two!! I feel so accomplished now. We're usually booking flights with straight DL or SW miles so this companion certificate was really moving out of my comfort zone. Before you know it, I'll be transferring points to a partner airline and booking an international flight! :rotfl2:
