I've gotta share this with you. We went to WDW a couple of weeks ago and had a super Funtastic time. While in our hotel room, enjoying my cup of coffee to start my magical Disney day I came upon this local T.V. commercial. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. It was Appliance Direct with the guy saying, "I love appliances!!" First of all, it was the longest commercial I've ever seen in my life. It was so unique and different. Who is this guy with this unlimited passion for freezers? And who is this lady with long hair slamming microwave oven doors like that? I'm telling you....I could not take my eyes off it. I told my family the Magic Kingdom will have to wait...this is GOOD!! I was in it's trance. So every morning I had to watch the crazy Appliance Direct commerical. I must have watched it for hours and hours. It turned into an obsession. I just found out that you can watch their commericals on their website. My wife thinks I'm nuts. She is now looking for a 12 step recovering program.

Who knew my Disney trip would center around this commercial? Sorry Mickey, but I had to put you on hold for awhile.

The appliance direct guy is cool and I'm also addicted to it when I see it, but a couple of years ago I saw a totally crazy and funny commercial for a used car place in Orlando called the Family Auto Guy/Mart, it literally was like an hour of skits, raps, spoofs to get you to buy a used car from them, honestly it was hilarious and apparently very popular since they had advertisers advertise on THEIR commercial.On recent visits to Orlando hotels I haven't been able to catch this commercial, but I'm always on the lookout for it.If anyone knows when/where they show it let me know?

OMG! I live down here, I absolutely hate that commercial! It's not only the 1/2 hour "infomercial" they have spots on every single local station. Thank God for the mute button!!! The way they slam around the appliances would you really want to but from them? The auto mart ones are totally corny but at least they make you laugh.

HAHAHA, I love that there is a thread about this! My DBF LOVES that guy--- I mean he is obsessed with it. We have watched this guy try and sell appliances for 3 years now. DBF did have a funny comment about it while shopping in DTD one day though. He said, "I think it would be awesome if Disney would make an Appliance Direct pin." Oh my gosh-- can you imagine a four eyar old in a princess dress trading for an appliance direct pin?

I remember on my college program we only had a handful of channels and their commercial was on every break on every channel I think. Of course this was back when the guy's daughter (I'm guessing) would pop up from behind an appliance and throw her hands in the air announcing, "See it all and save!" I STILL imitate her everytime we're on vacation and these commercials come on, even though she and her tagline are long gone.

That's how I remember that commericial too! I felt like it was on 24/7! They must have one heck of an advertising budget to be able to advertise so much!!!!

The Family Man and his brother, The Family Boy!!! Faaaaaaaaamily Auto Mart!!!

Sadly, I haven't seen them in years, I assume they went out of business. When the commercials were in heavy rotation, I read a fascinating article about Family Auto Mart. They never ran credit checks, more or less anybody could walk in and drive off with a car. Then they ended up sending cousin Repo Man after like 50% or 60% of their clientele. Not sure that is a viable business model.

And remember, if you didn't buy it at Appliance Direct, you paid too much!

Sam and the crew at Appliance Direct rule! That infomercial runs every minute I am in my room! My wife and I absolutely LOVE the commercial! So much so, that I e-mailed Sam about 2 weeks ago, as I wanted a full version of the infomercial to watch, and not just the partial sections they have on their site. Was able to download it via an FTP link that Sam e-mailed back to me. Sadly, the link has been dead for about 10 days, as I have had people contact me for it.

I totally agree. To the OP, try watching the commercial over and over again. It gets really old!

I like the lady in that appliance commercial. She likes to end her sentences by either closing an appliance (washer, drier, oven, etc) or by smacking it. Every time.

We live in Central Florida, and my DH can not flip past an Appliance Direct commercial. He will literally sit watching them for an hour, or however long they are (and they are loooooooong). Makes me nuts.

I didn't know the Family Auto Mart went out of business... I wondered what happened to the commercials!
